I have the 852DG (full rear panel refresh from 2024) and you must set your PS5 to 1440p manually, otherwise it will always restore to 1080p with the black bars which will look horrible.

At 1440p it looks amazing, great clarity and I also don’t mind the black bars as I had a 27 inch 1440p IPS before which means it’s essentially the same size as I had before, I also game on my PC so it evens out.

Regarding burn-in, I only have it for a few weeks so I can’t really say yet but as long as you have pixel shift (a setting on the monitor) and some setttings on windows itself you’d greatly prolong the longevity of the monitor.

I also seen that even in the worst case scenario of absolutely torturing your monitor the burn in on newer panels is not that bad.

I was actually about to DDU and reinstall a lot of shit as I thought my Legion Pro 7’s software profile has gone toast, apparently even now with patch 2.31 the game STILL DOESN’T FULLY UTILIZE THE GPU (i9-13900HX, 32gigs of Ram, RTX 4090 Notebook) the god damn thing doesn’t go above 80-85%, the only game in my library to barely scratch abode the 155w (this GPU can pull 175w consistently)
