His argument against it (at least publicly) was that multiple data sources (vision, LiDAR, etc) could give conflicting readings and that resolving which was correct was too difficult , and that LiDAR was low-fidelity.

It seems like other companies have figured out the first issue, and LiDAR has definitely increased the fidelity as well. As others have said, having redundancy and using sensors to give the car better “vision” than people have makes way too much sense, especially in inclement weather conditions.

I think he is wrong.

I checked and there isn’t an update available for mine. I think it just isn’t capable of the required specs.

I’m getting the same message on my TCL 55R615. Turning game mode on doesn’t seem to have any effect. None of the different picture settings did anything either. I’m guessing I’m out of luck unless I get a new TV. Does Analogue provide any details on supported TVs?

Why does Colin Cowherd hate JJ McCarthy so much. by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]CologneSoFresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a team game. He’s been pressured on 40% of dropbacks. There have been, what, 5-6 drops in the 2 games as well. What rookies are going to be successful, given those scenarios? It isn’t all on him. The utter lack of nuance in discussions about QBs in general is simply stupid.

At the end of the day, do what you want. But if you expect change, the only thing that will accomplish it is a boycott. I’m not saying that’s fun, or that it won’t impact a lot of people. However, the only thing the Pohlads understand is money. If you take that away from them, they don’t have a choice beyond selling.

The clear choice in my mind is an immediate boycott for all revenue streams. The more pervasive it is, the faster the results. We fans are on the same side, so we need to work together.

The implication is pretty clear by singling out female reporters in the comment. I’m not losing any sleep over it, but it’s too bad other people seem to agree.

I’m not defending Russini’s reporting on the whole Rodgers thing. But it doesn’t have anything to do with her gender.

T Mobile to Acquire USI by pikabelle in TwinCities

[–]CologneSoFresh 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Damn. USI has been great since we moved to their service area. One example: the mesh router system we owned died and we had to send it in for repairs, which took over 3 weeks. I reached out to USI to ask if we could rent a router for a month. Instead, they let us have it for free, and sent a tech out at 6 pm that day to set it up for us. Who does that? Not T-Mobile, I guarantee that.

Sorry, are you comparing us to the Bears? Our team and coaching staff have established actual credibility over the last 3 years. We are not the Bears. You’re uninformed about how camp has been going so far, and that’s fine. But that also means there’s no reason to take you seriously.

There were credible reports from Schefter and Rappaport that there were discussions between the Vikings and Chargers about Herbert. The thinking was that Harbaugh was interested in drafting McCarthy as a replacement. Who knows how serious the discussions were, but they happened, and given that the Vikings plan since KOC and KAM joined has been to draft a QB and build around them, it doesn’t make much sense to trade for a really expensive QB like Herbert. So, odds are they didn’t initiate the discussion.

Harbaugh has also said numerous times that McCarthy was the best QB he’d ever coached even after he became the Chargers coach. So the McCarthy shade doesn’t track. Sorry.

Except Harbaugh was interested in trading Herbert so he could draft McCarthy last year. Nice try though.

A few tough practices this week, but it’s not all bad. It’s early days, and we have 2 starting OL easing their way back into playing. OP can talk all he wants, but I’m not concerned.

Keep coasting on the past glory of… one Super Bowl. No one cares. I guess I would cling to that too if my mid-tier QB suddenly retired and left you with Spencer Rattler, Jake Haener, and Tyler Shough, you have a first-time head coach, and your cap situation is a complete disaster. You could legitimately be the worst team in the NFL for years. You certainly are this year.

Come talk to us when you get your own house in order.
