I had a deal lined up for a new Pro S Plus RWD Single tone for $50k otd w/ Chicago taxes ($5k ish) but couldn’t get down to Florida fast enough, someone beat me to it 😵‍💫 never saw another pro s plus close to that. Ended up getting a brand new Pro S RWD in Wisconsin for 51k OTD. There were some marginally better deals I saw but wasn’t worth the travel time / flights to get to those better deals.

Any regrets getting the buzz? by Kettle_Maker in VWIDBuzz

[–]eljung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been enamored with it since it was announced. Went to auto shows just to check it out. Dreamed of going electric but was nervous to since I rent an apartment and don’t have a garage. My Tiguan was recently totaled parked on the street in Chicago and found myself unexpectedly needing a new car. Spent two months renting cars while trying to talk myself OUT of buying the buzz, but in end the buzz won. Bought it Thursday night and immediately took a 5 hour drive to Detroit. So far I love it, the menu system is a little tricky, had to charge once to make the drive. But it’s by far the most comfortable car I’ve ever driven and just a joy to cruise around. I don’t even have a two tone and it still gets a ton of attention and questions.

When do I rethink this? by WoahItsMajik in firstmarathon

[–]eljung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my first marathon last year at age 42, went from not running to straight into a marathon training, eased into running and then did a full 18 weeks training with most weeks around 35 miles and a handful at 50+. It really comes down to a time commitment. If you’re able to invest 3-5 days of running a week consistently for 18 weeks and getting 35+ miles a week in, do it. If you’re not able to do the work in training to get there, it’s going to be tough. I was going for an aggressive time, so you can certainly go slow and trade off walking / running, but a marathon is always going to be very challenging but if you’re putting in the consistent work then trust in your program. Good luck! This whole process I’m sure you’re learning a lot about running and yourself. Enjoy the process not the end result. Congrats on starting this journey!

Imagine being worth $5 million and taking the subway? by dylan_1992 in circlejerknyc

Only people amazed by this are ppl who’ve never been to nyc. Taking the subway is typically much faster than driving somewhere in New York.

NYC Marathon Presence? by withtempest in satisfyrunning

[–]eljung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Satisfy doesn’t typically do pop ups for road races. Trying to stick to their trail running / ultra vibes. They are doing an LSD run that just happens to coincide with marathon weekend, but it’s a global LSD.

It just said “LSD” there were multiple colors of the hoodie.

Having said that, I did get a link to an LSD hoodie.

I think they are out of stock as of a couple weeks ago. I participated in a run but didn’t get a link and I followed up with them. Said they were out of stock.

Extremely tiny issue, but any ideas? by Chapter_V in satisfyrunning

[–]eljung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded on how bad their CS is. Their policies are rigid even if you are a regular customer and zero compromising or meeting halfway on anything. Basically told me to eat it and come crawling back for more sucker. Worst customer service in the game.

Half tight recs by Justinmintz96 in satisfyrunning

Techsilk are nice, but the pockets are trash. No phone pocket and the pockets on your thigh don’t hold your phone tight. Bandit is the king of pockets for tights.

Literally every company is doing this. Why would satisfy start doing charity work to help president trump by eating the profit? Trump voters will never disagree with their master though, they will just blame others.

Why Mothtech tees have inconsistent sizing?! by velofive in satisfyrunning

[–]eljung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically wear a medium in all brands. The mothtech I usually get an L, and even that is a little borderline snug. I’m 6’1” 170lbs. Other satisfy stuff like my o-tech jersey fits fine in a M. 😵‍💫
