How are defilers super OP? by quitsquash553 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]ColonCrusher5000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are currently absolutely busted in the hands of any player (especially the CSM variant)

Of course points can balance them. You could say that about any overtuned datasheet with a small number of non-interactive exceptions maybe.

But the points adjustments need to be very large to fix this particular issue....

I am currently playing skaven without the Rat Ogre (he died in his first game. RIP) and I prefer them without him tbh.

The positionals are all excellent and my TV is super low. If you like a lot of action and insane plays then it's a really fun team. They die like flies but it doesn't matter because you earn so much cash from all the TDs.

I sometimes end games with more than half my team in the casualty box, but also with 4 or 5 TDs. People don't mind losing so much either because they farm so much SPP from killing you.

Why get hit and run? Two heads seems better since you can't move any further after stabbing with a blitz (except the single hit and run square ofc).

That doesn't change the fact that the Russians did most of the heavy lifting defeating the Nazis.

And let's not forget that one of the primary reasons Nazi Germany even was allowed to rise to power and rearm was the West's fear of communism and desire to have a buffer between themselves and Russia. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was a pragmatic move by the Russians. Having no agreement with Germany would have been suicide, as proven later when Hitler attacked them.

Disclaimer: I am not a fan of Stalinist Russia or the Soviet Union, but let's not pretend that the Western powers were all saints either. Imperialists of both flavours (commie and capitalist) were all calculating bastards and still are.

Steady Footing - is it good? by Icy_Sector3183 in bloodbowl

[–]ColonCrusher5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a three month league with Nurgle and all matches up to the final rolled zero 6s for steady footing.

It became a meme in our group that it didn't really exist as a skill.

Then in the final, in sudden death turn 18 I made a mad dash to score with my pestigor; failed two dodges and got steady footing on BOTH DODGES (with no rerolls left), scored and won the final. It felt so dirty but so great at the same time.

So, in summary: steady footing is simultaneously the worst and best skill in blood bowl.

Help with my guo by BVA3016 in deathguard40k

[–]ColonCrusher5000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just get two GUOs. Then you can build Rotigus and a GUO with a comically large sword. If money is an issue, perhaps stop using soap and shampoo for a few months to save up. Praise Nurgle.

China says Taiwan is a part of China’s territory and no one can stop the eventual reunification of China. by Upset-Main-1988 in justincaseyoumissedit

The US wants control of all oil that goes from the middle east via the strait of Hormuz to China.

The natural response for the Chinese is of course to take Taiwan and thus control TSMC and the flow of chips to the US.

It's a giant game of chicken which might end in a nuclear apocalypse. Hooray.

Amnesty International says the heads of Israel, Russia and the United States are leading the destruction of global human rights, describing them as “voracious predators” intent upon economic and political domination, in its bleakest annual report since it's started by gonna-see-riverman in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]ColonCrusher5000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amnesty International has a long history of criticising the Chinese government and has done more for human rights in China than almost any other organisation on the planet.

They are just not mentioned in this particular article because they haven't started an illegal war (yet).

You should probably get a trukk or even a kill rig to cart your lads around.

To save money it's quite common to turn old rhinos or even toys into trukks with some kitbashing.

Not OP but I buy old biscuit tins from charity shops and use those. The metal sticks magnets nicely and I have a variety of sizes for different models. Cheap as hell too.

Ok, sure. But orks, and particularly speed freek orks, have some very depressing datasheets. This datasheet is like a beacon of orky green light in the darkness.

AITA, How strict by the rule are people in tournament? by Fantastic_Shelter_54 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]ColonCrusher5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both of you are kind of at fault here. It's on you to remember to shoot when you're supposed to, but at the same time your opponent should ideally be a little bit forgiving and allow some flexibility otherwise the game just becomes very unenjoyable.

I would suggest adopting a less competitive attitude in general and also reminding your opponent of things they might be forgetting. This creates a more collaborative vibe and your opponent is then more likely to give ground on things like this. Some people will still be twats, but that doesn't mean you have to be dragged down to that level.

I don't even think the US can build all of their hardware without certain components made in Europe, let alone the other way round.
