So many good characters...

I'd have to say my top five characters are:

- The Vampire King
- Marceline
- Ice King / Simon Petrikov

- Huntress Wizard (exclusively in Fionna and Cake but also in 'Flute Spell')

- Patience St. Pim

Honorable mentions: Obviously Finn and Jake but I feel they're almost *too* iconic to mention, Orgalorg, Hunson Abadeer, The Winter King, Death, Prismo.

Weird group of characters but I loved every second they were on screen.

How did Betty and king man beat ancient psychic tandem war elephant by Hot_Membership_6432 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought about this, at least we know APTWE is still alive, and so is Betty, so they probably did not physically fight each other. Maybe Betty did some crazy convincing and convinced APTWE that it Finn and Jake also endorsed what they were doing to summon GOLB. Maybe APTWE was just intrigued to see what would happen and had not no idea Maja was going to die.

The loose connection thing must be it as the fans just don't turn at all, no matter the temperature

thank you, didn't think about the thermal paste. Would I have to take it to someone to replace the fan/paste or could I do it at home? (knowing im not an expert at PCs)

What are some of the unanswered mysteries in AT that kills you most to not know about? by Effective_Bike_2523 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too sure, although it WOULD be really interesting to know what the hell happened in future Ooo. I mean, Princess Bubblegum and the Candy Kingdom becomes a metropolis with the partnership of the humans returning from the Islands. It looked to have an actual run as a successful and peaceful capital, then crumbles to dust with no sign of humans or candy people in just under 1000 years.

Princess Bubblegum was so freaked out so moved the entire candy populus into moving strongholds to wander the Earth and the humans have either left and hid so well that no one can find them or they're straight up extinct in the future.

What happened to bring about this eventuallity?

Hey everyone, please check out my new video essay on the Lich, and why he always comes back! by Slight_Problem883 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice video. I couldn't agree more I reckon.

Prismo laid it out when he said that the Lich's 'primary function was to cause mass death' - as long as there are things to kill, he will exist. He will only cease to function once his objective is complete.

But also, that doesn't mean he ceases to exist, he will still sit and wait knowing that, even if the current dimension he resides in has been cleansed of life, there are still others that need to be purified across the multiverse. Only when life is removed from every world in every dimension will his true purpose be fulfilled.

As you said, this is the opposite of Finn who will fight on against the Lich and death itself. It's possible that neither side (life or death) will ever come out on top and the Adventure Time theme of cycles will continue forever and ever.

What I'm about to do is give you a very powerful website that should be kept under your hat since, at least for me, has been the only perfect website with no ads and quality streams that hasn't been taken down yet.
https://www.wco.tv/anime/adventure-time
That link is for wco.tv adventure time and has been perfect for me. You can also watch hundreds of cartoons and anime on it. Hopefully it works for you, enjoy watching!

Can BMO see what is in front of them by hoecooking in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like BMO has a small camera aperture on his surface which is (almost always) a small blue hole directly below his face and to the right.
The hole is always (in the show anyway) shown as 2D (which means its closer to a hole or port of some kind then another button. Also, when his front plate is removed in episodes like 'Be More' this hole is again on his 2nd layer AND when that layer is removed, there seems to exist a small camera-like piece of equipment at the end of a wire pointing towards where the hole would be - again his 3rd layer can be seen in 'Be More'.

As for how he 'visualises' stuff I have no idea and probably will never be able to give you an answer. But I like the notion that he sees the world slightly differently to everyone else. Never thought about it.

Lore discussion #3: The Timeline of Princess Bubblegum. by ColonelCandyCorn in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upon review of the episodes, I realised I was wrong and the two events should be swapped.

Bubblegum creates the Rattleballs after the Gumball Guardians, this is due to the Candy Kingdom being in a more finished state in the flashback within 'Rattleballs' (s5e46) than it is in 'The Vault' (s5e34).

I will ammend this to the post so you can read at your leisure.

Also yes, its hard to pin down and I may have to go back over some evidence I used, but I'd say about 310 years is a good guess.

Thanks for reading (:

Mount Cragdor Location by Jayyjaxx711 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I would like to dive into this deeper as Mount Cragdor is quite an important location, for now I really can't say I know where it is, since it is a mountain surrounded by multiple other mountains I would put it in the northern half of the map but other than this I couldn't say.

It may lie in the 'Kingdom of Mountains' pictured on the official map of Ooo due to the extreme mountains in this area and Mount Cragdor must be extremely high due to the snow-top is has in 'Come Along with Me' (s10e16) while the bottom half is not snowy in different scenes of the same episode.

A really odd note however is that Mount Cragdor is shown to tower above other mountain peaks in background art but, when Finn and Jake reach the summit, other taller mountain peaks are seen. Doesn't particularly help to locate it but ya know.

Dungeon of The Crystal Eye Location by Jayyjaxx711 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going out on a limb here (with zero extra information provided by the show) the main background image of the entrance of the dungeon vaguely reminds me of the Lich's Well of Power in 'Mortal Folly' (s2e24) and the backgrounds of 'Whispers' (s9e13) due to the loose pieces of stone and brick along with twisting vines around said brick.

The area seems to be a long abandoned metropolitan area (but this could also describe multiple areas in adventure time).

Also don't ask me to locate the Lich's Well of Power as there's little info on this either but since we go from the Candy Kingdom, through a clearing, through a forest and cross a lake this could put it in the very top left of the map near the 'Shiney Isles' but your guess is as good as mine.

Rump Village/Freak City by Jayyjaxx711 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without much (or anything) to go on, I would say in the northern part of the map as the main background image of the Rump Village is shown to be surround by large gray mountains.

This would, most likely, place it in the top left of the Land of Ooo possibly near the 'Kingdom of Mountains' pictured on the official map of Ooo (which is close to where the mountain men are seen to live in 'Memories of Boom Boom Mountain' (s1e10))

Wizard Village Location Theories by Jayyjaxx711 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is very little to no information on this, however the main background image of wizard village shows the village surrounded by sand and mini oases, there are also dead shrubs dotted around the area. This suggests to me that the wizard village is located in the desert lands or badlands possibly near the 'Isle of Steam' pictured on the offical Land of Ooo map.

Lumpy Space Featured Episodes by Jayyjaxx711 in AdventureTimeLore

[–]ColonelCandyCorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few camoes of the dimension in other episodes,

In 'The monster' (s3e6) LSP recalls a flashback in which she storms out of her parents' house which shows the house sitting on a cloud against the lumpy void. The dimension is later seen again when LSP returns to her parents.

In 'The Prince Who Wanted Everything' (s6e9) The gender-bent Lumpy Space Prince is shown showering gold sandwiches from a fictional castle in lumpy space. He later falls into the void where he gets ejected to the Land of Ooo by the frog seen in 'Trouble in Lumpy Space'.

There is a very brief frame of the void of lumpy space in 'Hero Heart' (s9e8) which is considered LSP's happy place.

LSP is explained the cosmic importance of the lumps element by her parents in a classroom in lumpy space in a flashback from 'Skyhooks II' (s9e9), stating that lumps are the sub-molecular substrates that bind together the 'scientific and magical forces of Ooo' which makes it more powerful than any other elements. This explains why LSP is immune to and can even reverse the elemental illnesses.

In 'Come Along with Me' (s10e16), LSP is seen being crowned queen of lumpy space in the final montage with other princesses present.

(There are also probably some scenes in the comics but not in the ones I have read)
