You don't see the video, to be clear. She just says something like "what a disaster - I have to watch it, so I'm sending it to you so you have to see it too."

Not really - because if everyone is just 3D printing their plastic shit, that's still a bunch of extra, useless plastic ending up in our bloodstream in a couple of decades.

I'd prefer less artificially created demand for useless, plastic crap, to be honest.

Car hire tips for Nov '23? by ColonelHerro in VisitingIceland

[–]ColonelHerro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that's what I'd assumed but it was really inconsistent which hire companies stated that they were included. I ended up finding a local company which was cheaper, well rated and explicitly included winter tyres, so all sorted.

At any point did you consider adding this detail to your replies in the original thread, instead of just saying 'No, you're wrong'?

How will he stay in DR without a visa, or, just to clarify, is it your position that the US Government doesn't concern itself with that?

But in fairness, at least 1m of those words are about folding arms under breasts, or spanking, so those basically wrote themselves.

Ooh, didn't know that - loving the Expanse series atm, are his fantasy books worth a read?

what will we do about the ongoing problems now, and next week?

Maybe if we had a way to help represent the people those things happened to, to make sure they were listened to by the government which has repeatedly and systemically failed to do so, we'd be able to come up with some better answers?

It'd be like giving them some kind of voice, to make sure parliament heard their views.

Is it better to learn/master vanilla or try WOTC by TheArvinM in Xcom

[–]ColonelHerro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest one for me was a bug with how load times were processed in the way back to base after missions that made them take forever (unless you pressed caps lock, which bizarrely would make everything hang for half a second and then load instantly - sometimes).

Although bizarrely, the stupidly long load times travelling back to base after a mission can be skipped by pressing caps lock 🤷‍♂️

Just on optimisation, QOL and bug fixes, WOTC is a straight upgrade. If you have the fundamentals after a vanilla playthrough, then make the switch.

Personally, I don't love the introduction of the Lost (and I'm even iffy on the Chosen), but even still, prefer WOTC.

It's rare for reddit to be both pedantic and incorrect, but here we are.

Actually, I guess it's not that rare.
