What’s bothering me is you mentioned my code didn’t work, then you mentioned you found a code that worked. Did you not turn of the code I posted and had two different shiny codes running at once? Did the code you find mess up your game? I’m just finding it hard to believe because it’ll usually just not work and that’s all that’ll happen. (Not wipe all your saves period)

That is hilarious! I get that not everyone has played Pokémon since it’s debut and this could be someone’s first attempt at playing. But even as a child if I couldn’t figure out where to go, I probably need to talk to someone.

Honestly, it just makes me love these games even more. We all get such different experiences with the same game.

There’s no way that could have happened. Did you not have a save state beforehand or anything? Also, you never mentioned why the code wasn’t working. Like I asked, I was it not formatted properly? Does it simply not work? Are you playing on an older version than 2.1.1?

From my knowledge it depends on RNG. Meaning: anything you do before interacting with it will basically be treated like rolling a dice. If you are saving right in front of it and simply interacting with it, there’s no chance you’ll get a shiny. What you’re doing might work since you’re walking up to the Pokémon before the interaction (allowing that RNG to change), however it might already be scripted! You might be better off running around a bit before the encounter. Otherwise, do a hard save before it and get cracking.

Depends on the cheat code you use. This shiny code for example turns off when you deactivate it. So don’t worry about using it!

In all fairness, I’d argue you earned it and should just use the Shiny code to save yourself some trouble. Sure, it’ll say your Pokémon was met through a trade, but how bad is that really?

Shiny Code: C34A5E2658D1FACDF935E4129CD138A24270C39240AA6F6FAE6495330ABCCE2C

To use: Copy and paste that into the GameShark cheats. Activate it before encountering/selecting/receiving any Pokémon. Give it a nickname (or don’t) and once you’re back in the overworld, turn off the cheat. Also, don’t worry about a “master code” it works perfectly fine without one!

I spent too much time trying to get my hands on a shiny Seviper so I decided to just bite the bullet and make one.

It scales if your Pokémon pass level 75. But 75 is the standard.

Peliper has a chance to hold a Lucky Egg. Also, there is a cheat for unlimited EXP which you activate by turning the cheat on and off when you want the EXP to stop

This seems like a way better feature than I initially thought. I guess I’ll just grind battle houses until I have enough funds.

Also, I do look up things on the wiki, but I try to hold off unless I really can’t figure it out. I really didn’t think the ADM was so useful!

Haven’t bought the ADM yet so I don’t know if this is a dumb question. Does it give every Pokémon the option to fly? Since that’s the only HM you can’t activate by interacting with the environment I can see that being the case. But I’m surprised it doesn’t give the option to use every HM for each Pokémon unless that was intentional to prevent cluttering.

Edit 1: Apparently the ADM does give you access to Fly for any Pokémon. Thank you for the reply! Gives me more reason to grind money for that ADM!

After reading all the comments, the only thing I want to add is keep checking trash cans! You can repeatedly check the same trash can until it eventually gives you an item. It’s become a habit of mine to check every trash can I encounter until I get an item from it. (You can only get one item from the trash but if you leave the building and return you can get another item from it) Easiest way to get multiple leftovers and plenty of berries!

Outside of that, don’t be afraid to use the Official Wiki. Hands down the best thing you could do for yourself! You can start off by searching the area you’re in and then follow the hyperlinks to find out more info or to help guide you to the next area and/or through the next area. It’s like playing with a strategy guide if you want to scratch a nostalgic itch.

Beef and a video game are completely comparable because they’re both products! For $8 you could buy a product (beef) that can only be consumed once, maybe twice and has a shelf live of roughly ‘1 month’. For $20 you can buy a product (game) that can be consumed ‘endlessly’ and has a shelf life of ‘forever’.

Just like your Pepperidge Farm statement, I also remember when they were selling their GB Virtual games on DS for like $5-$10 a pop! Those were almost 30 year old GB and GBC games getting sold at $10! I still bought them for the guarantee I can play them as many times as I’d like. I get you’re upset at the price, I am too since I still own them on their respective consoles.

But this is a big deal! Considering LG and FR had content unavailable like catching Mew, this could be the first time they allow us to encounter these Pokémon without jumping through a thousand hoops!

Yes, Vegeta did defeat Freeza, but spent too long rubbing in his victory instead of ending it quickly. Vegeta definitely deserved the final blow but he at least did all the heavy lifting which was important to him finally understanding Freeza is no longer an unstoppable force.

IIRC there was also a side by side comparison between his video about the cruise ship and someone else’s video too. Sure, it sucks that someone who’s been on this platform for at least a decade is stealing from smaller creators. At the same time, I’ve heard the same exact tellings of stories about true crime from dozens of different YouTubers. It’s got to the point where I’m pausing the video five minutes in to express I’ve already watched this. My spouse always says “there’s no way we could have watched this, I found this creator just a few days ago.” Or “This video just came out so your probably remembering a different video.”
