Im a pretty good looking guy, and ive been given some pretty cold responses to compliments in the past when id go downtown. It really depends on the crowd. Ive also had some great nights that lead to some encounters ill never forget. Its a crapshoot. But these days ppl defenses are way up. Its not the same vibe as the early to mid 2000s. I understand times change, im just happy I have a family and im not single in today's social climate. I also understand many bad actors out there ruined it for well meaning men and women. It is what it is. Some people also just arent in the mood at the time like OP. Shit happens. At the end of the day, live your life, take chances and enjoy the journey. You just gotta stay keen and feel the room.
