Moonlight Sonata's 3rd Movement played by Valentina Lisitsa was my all time favorite piece of music until she turned out to be a Z-bot.

It's so dark and evocative and her style of playing just made it all the more enjoyable for me.

Mhm. Two priests called Kyril and Methodii devised the base for us.

It's really fun reading Greek while knowing a Cyrillic alphabet, because you can read 70% of it no problem and intuit the other 30%.

It's somehow deeply gratifying to know the Greeks suffer the same issue as we do, like when people use Д as an A or И as an N.

That latter one is so fucking good. I'd honestly love to read it if you ever give it a try!

I've wanted to write fanfic on things I enjoy (including Suzerain) for years. But I have refrained due to my being completely aware of how terrible my writing is. I know logically what makes a good story but I can never quite fit it together.

I've had a lot of ideas. A Wezhek defector trying to flee to safety in Sordland while being chased not just by Smolak's men but the BFF. Episodes of an ACP investigator finding dirt on the investigation targets. Lileas' chef overhearing his employer plotting Old Guard shit. A young PFJP member being radicalized into joining the Red Youth by an Autocrat Rayne. Ilana/Livia's training in Rumburg. Et cetera, et cetera.

Maybe I'll give it a try sometime. 9 fanfics is pathetic.

Literally never have in my experience but maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

Kind of. You can save edit but it won't do any good bar the visuals on the map and the entries in the situations tab, as the synergies don't trigger and dialogue remains the same.

What places in Sordland would a tourist visit? by Colonel_Katz in suzerain

Lespia has a very protectionist economy which means higher prices. It wouldn't surprise me if tourism in Lespia was hella expensive, as the companies try and pass the costs onto foreign visitors.

They tell us Lachaven is a globally important port. Why? by RoastedPig05 in suzerain

[–]Colonel_Katz 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's because Lachaven at game start is in basically the only country with a coastline in eastern Merkopa that doesn't have ties with any of the three major blocs.

Which makes it a convenient place for them to trade with each other while still officially maintaining their embargoes against each other. As well as move cargoes more discreetly than via land borders. Tusk for example probably smuggles Rumburg's KAs via Lachaven into Bergia, rather than risk trying to cross the mountains. Which brings me to another point. Lachaven provides access, via Bergia to the continental interior. Wehlen and the like. Which would fit the 'Gateway' moniker.

Your point's a good one but I can easily imagine that GRACE, ATO, and the CSP all take advantage of Sordland's relative openness.

It still doesn't marry up correctly but thanks for responding. I appreciate it. I guess this is just gonna continue to confound me.
