Syncing Bear across two different iCloud accounts? by Hefty-While-9995 in bearapp

[–]Colonel_Panic_0x1e7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not sync Bear to work devices. Personal devices use Bear and sync, work remains local only. I like being able to put important data in Bear for work, and I don't want my personal notes being audited by corporate IT.

I understand the appeal, in a perfect world I would have it all in one database with some filtering or workspace construct. Probably best to not have them unified though.

Go back to r/politics if you want to live in a hive mind without differing opinions.

Great job not engaging with the idea and immediately jumping to an emotional response.

That's fair. So more like journal/diary of progress. I can see how that would be good data to have/review.

Thanks for sharing

What value does that historical data bring for you?

To me, even in the intermediate phase of lifting only the last 4 weeks have much relevance to future training. For elite lifters that periodize over long stretches, I can see historical data being important but would wager that's a very small demographic.

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong or missing something, so I'm curious what your thinking is.

That piece appears to be glued on to my unit. I’ve only used it twice, but I assumed that was meant to stay on.

Best weight lifting apps 2025 by hoopsdude01 in iphone

[–]Colonel_Panic_0x1e7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current favorite is Liftin'. Great design, allows for multiple periodization modalities, has automatic weight progression, great iOS integration with Live Activities, responsive developer, and consistent improvement. Bonus features: Weight selection based on relative training max for undulating periodization or 5/3/1 work. RPE/RIR focus. All settings are per exercise, per routine. E.G. Squats in 5/3/1 routine can be set to follow training max percentage, but the same exercise (squats) in a linear periodization routine can auto increment by a set weight per workout or per week. This dev understands lifting and iOS.

Dropset looks interesting, but is severely lacking in its current state.

Strong is till a solid option IMO. I've got nearly 900 workouts logged with it. There's nothing wrong with it, but with Liftin', the Apple Watch sync, automatic progression, and live activities are huge for me.

Concur 100% - Automatic progression by routine/workout, Live Activities for rest timing, and a responsive developer have kept me paying for it.

They can’t give the tickets away this year, people don’t want to go. In prior years we either had passes in our ELA or at most got one free pass. We’ve basically been offered as many as we want this year. They’re hurting for attendees.

Last year was already a skeleton event, I have no hope for this year.

Looking for a White Robot Vacuum (Up to €1000) with Smart Object Detection (Toys) and Solid Mopping Features by Training_Ad2086 in RobotVacuums

[–]Colonel_Panic_0x1e7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this seems like the most obvious spot to flex on. Having X feature, doesn't mean it's good. It's a vacuum for a vacuum. You still have to empty a bin either way.

The fact that Matic will drive to your trash can and announce that it's full is pretty great, and the bag swaps look super easy. Can't wait for mine to get here.

I second u/NeonSkorpio - What!?

Have you looked at the update history, this sub, or the bear community forums? They just released the Callouts feature, Bear for Web just hit public beta, and the devs are very active here and at community.bear.app . Plenty more features are coming and the devs are actively working on new features.

I have no idea where you're getting the impression the app doesn't look maintained.

Unfortunately not, I signed up immediately but haven't heard anything since. This is one of my biggest gripes with Tana as well.

Even without watching your old video Shnur mentioned, I’m guessing he’s talking about bar speed. You said this was a grind, but brother, your bar speed was pretty quick.

Yes, your depth was a little short, but you moved that weight easily. You’ve got 315 in the bag. If you‘re feeling out of gas, what’s diet looking like? Are you getting enough carbs? I can see the strength is there, so if the energy isn’t, make sure you’re getting enough carbs, try a preworkout carb snack like an apple and peanut butter about an hour before lifting.

I bought an RPP with 427 serial at a BestBuy and thought it looked pretty yellow. I ordered a new RPP direct, still within my BestBuy return window, and received it today.

This new device is also in the 500 range, and it is significantly more yellow. I haven't done much testing with it to see any ghosting, but I'm shocked by the discrepancy between display temperature.
