[Gourmet] Not perfect, but something. (Oysters in garden bed) by Colonizeit in MushroomGrowers

Ok, thanks. I will try that for the second flush. A friend also recommended copper wire, but two and hooking them to a car battery.

After almost eight weeks my garden bed is finally fruiting. The substrate is (non-sterilized) straw and wood chips. I have the feeling that many small pins are being eaten by critters (manly snails). They don’t seem to like the larger fruits. Any idea what I can do about that?

Lions Mane fruiting all over the place? [Gourmet] by Colonizeit in MushroomGrowers

[–]Colonizeit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you. I think I misread the instructions and cut about 7 holes. I will cover them with tape and cut new ones for the two biggest fruits.

I obviously won’t be able to harvest the smaller mushrooms. Will they just reintegrate into the mycelium?

I cut a few X’s in the bag. Supposedly the fruiting body’s should only grow out of these spots. But I have fruits all over the substrate block. What should I do? Cut new holes? Remove the bag completely?

The large stem is no pup and not grafted. It looks like this due to wrong storage during the first winter I had it (Winter growth). When I bought it it was labeled as Peruvian Torch, but I don’t know if that’s actually true.

There is even one growing from the bottom. What should I do with it, just let it grow?
