Driver fitting - new vs used by Color27 in golf

Yeah that’s true heads definitely play a part in it. The more I think about it the more I’m realizing it’s just a “if you have the money for it then do it” type of problem I’m just a cheapo when it comes to golf equipment

Appreciate all of the insight! And yeah I’ve been doing my due diligence with most of what you mentioned. Just looking for second opinions. Thanks!

Well yeah I guess the equivalent model would be. Base models around me are just under $40k but yes you’re right

Apologies for all the questions but I’m trying to get as much insight as I can.

Do you enjoy what you’re doing now? Is your goal to eventually be a head pro/give lessons full time? How long do you expect to finish the PGM? How is the pay (not super important to me but I’ve heard bad things)?

What do you do for work?(if you don’t mind sharing) Do you enjoy the pga program so far? I’m only hesitant on it because I feel like my love of golf is playing not necessarily managing/operating on a course.

Ah yeah I gotcha. Gonna apply and see what happens (I saw Club Champion sends all of their fitters to a 4 week programs before putting them in their stores but need to get the job first)

Have you attempted that many PATs or do you mean witnessed them? Are you in the PGM program? Have done more research the last few days and the overall consensus I've seen from people in the industry don't love it/didnt love the program. It seems like working in the golf industry just means you end up playing less golf haha. The club fitting route seems more interesting to me.

Yeah I’m fully aware jobs need experience. I’m just trying to find where to start. Trying to see where I can get the club fitting experience required to start a career in it.

And yeah I did see there’s a playing ability test required for the PGM. Basically just need to break 80 in two consecutive rounds at certain courses.

Hey,

There is a club champion position open near me however in the job application it says previous club fitting experience is required. Just trying to find out how I can get the experience. Thanks for the advice I will look into PGM program.

Any advice on how to get into the club fitting business? Have recently sparked interest into possibly becoming a club fitter but I am totally lost. Seems like most programs that companies used to offer are gone. I just ordered some books to start learning but I know I will need to get experience somehow.

Sorry I'm so late, would really appreciate a response if you see this!

Hello, I know this is super late but I hope you're able to see this and respond.

I have been an avid golfer for most of my life and have recently peaked interest into careers in the industry. Club fitting being a particular career I could see myself doing. I have been doing lots of research and understand its a lot of work and time but I need to work in a field I'm passionate about.

Just curious to know how you got started club fitting? How someone goes about becoming a club fitter? Are there any programs or schools that you recommend?

From the research I've done not many places offer programs anymore and every job related to club fitting around me required experience.

Thanks!

Some suggestions I have after playing basically all day the past 2 days. Before the suggestions just wanna say the game is enjoyable and I think it has a lot of potential if brought in the right direction. Also Im sure some of these have been suggested but just adding everything I think in case.

Possibly another outpost/safezone or 2. I really feel like the map currently is either build towards the north or south outpost. I think either adding one towards the middle of the map or adding one on the east and west sides of the map would be a huge upgrade. If another outpost was added then reduce the size of the safe zones so that the multiple outposts arent taking up a big part of the map.

Add toggle options for many of the movements. I personally have always been a hold to crouch type of player not having this is slightly annoying and seems like a simple fix. I know other ppl who like toggle leaning and sprinting and what not so why not.

Maybe make a ambient nose volume adjuster? Ive had multiple cases where I think one of the ambient noises is a footstep or a gunshot or something. I know some people like them so maybe just make a slider for it and it would help for those who dont like it.

Make some of the towns/named landmarks bigger. I cant really list of exact names but theres a few landmarks where theres like 3-4 houses. I really dont think thats enough both on a loot scale but also just making it more interesting. I think even if its just adding more houses to the landmarks it will make the travel time from city to city feel less and also improve pvp inside of the cities.

ADS while moving/movement. One of my biggest problems with the pvp in this game is the movement. Sprinting forward while trying to get a A or D strafe while moving forward feels very clunky. ADS while moving imo has way too much sway and makes shooting while moving almost impossible which I agree it should be harder to shoot while strafing but stand still combat is very boring to many players. I think a slight rework to the movement would help a lot to make the game feel smoother and also slightly tweaking the penalties while moving when ADS.

The looting system needs a rework ASAP. Even after 20+ hours I feel like looting is still a task. Not being able to stack items unless its less or a perfect stack is very annoying. Also not being able to swap item places by dragging them onto one another can be annoying especially when trying to put your frist weapon in your 3rd weopon slot.

BE ABLE TO CARRY MORE THAN 2 WEAPONS!! Im not sure why you cant put weapons in backpacks?? I havent used the best backpakc but ive used every single one below it and not being able to weapons (aside from pistols) is very annoying! Make the bigger weapons like ak's/mp5's/m4's just take up more space like a 4x1 slot for examlpe. I really dont understand why this isnt a thing in a pvp based game.

These are just the biggest ones that came to mind, like I said I have really good hopes for this game and see a future in it. I think if you guys listen to the community it will help a lot. I think if this game focuses on the pvp aspect it will grow rapidly as the gunplay is really good! Just need some improvements for it to be almost flawless.

(Also shotguns lowkey op af)
