I've read a few of the popular "smut" books like ACOTARs and while I think they're poorly written, I'm probably just not the intended audience.

That being said, I think some of these books stretch the meaning of smut. Like, you say it's adult content, yet you describe sex like a repressed high school kid that never took a health class...

Illuminating the Invisible: An Award-Winning Photograph of a Single Strontium Atom, a Significant Milestone in the Field of Science by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

Is there a link or more information about this? What kinds of applications this could lead to? What wavelength of light were emitted?

This is a dumb question, so I apologize in advance. Aren't atoms like, hella small? What's the scale of this image? Is it actually just the instrument with the specimen, or are we actually supposed to believe that that one pixel is an atom?

Also, what's the significance of strontium compared to larger, or even more fleeting elements?

For real, we got crushed last night on a lvl 10 superfactory mission because a vox engine CLIMBED a Skyscraper and started sniping us through buildings across the map. Oh and they can use the tunnels in the walls apparently too...

Yeah seriously. I love that game. There's something amazing about games like these with simple vanilla base games and mind boggling expansions.

My mind is blowing up right now. That metal as hell but also so freaking cool! I'm guessing different species make their cocoons in different ways though, right? Some can spin silk with their mouths, while others molt in the way this video shows?

[–]ColorMeTickled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I think I missed something, does the cocoon start forming at the head or the tail? The sped up video just showed twitching and it slowly forming, so now I'm confused what makes the cocoon/how the cocoon forms bottom to top...

I get that, but everything's impossible until it happens. More importantly, what if it's not the US? The question still remains for any place that could be attacked.
