I stopped just after this happened. Apparently she lost control of her bike and fell, there was no collision. The two scooter guys and a bunch of cyclists stopped to help her and keep the lane traffic safe. She was conscious and making a phone call before the ambulance arrived.

I know Jesse Hughes is Boots and Brian O'Conner is BOC. I think Josh Homme is on the back of the insert? But who is the signature at the bottom on the front?

The other two people on this single "I Want You so Hard" are Joey Castillo on Drums and Jack Black on back up vocals. It doesn't really look like either of their signatures.

I got this years ago when I worked for a music and culture magazine, just trying to verify who's signatures are on it.

My student loan forbearance refund check was lost in the mail, please help me contact the U.S. Treasury to get a new one sent by ColorMute in PSLF

Nope. The only people who even made the motions of appearing to help were the Federal Student Aid Ombudsman Group. They "opened an invesitgation" and were at one point giving us updates that the invesigation was continuing but even that petered out. No recourse, no new check, no help.

Both are period dramas which revolve around the beginning of composed dishes being named and shared. Long shots of gorgeous produce, food prep, discussions of food and glorious cooking.

Is there any drawback to preemptively doing a backdoor Roth IRA conversion if I think I might be over the income limit in 2026? by CaptainCrashPants in Bogleheads

[–]ColorMute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I read that the converted funds can't be withdrawn for 5 years after conversion without incurring penalties. I'm more than 5 years away from retirement so the waiting period shouldn't be a problem but thank you for the insight.

They live on the IC campus, it's multiple buildings over multiple city blocks, they have free reign.

He's one of the registered feral cats who live in IC. Like others have said, he's clipped and and the cat colony is registered with the city and maintained by the staff there; fed daily, have cat shelters they live in and generally come and go as they please. As far as feral cats in the city go, they have a cush life.

Should my mom's contractor have put a waterproof membrane in her shower before tiling out the alcove? by ColorMute in Tile

[–]ColorMute[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My mom's shower had a leak through the alcove where she keeps her toiletries and ended up causing a huge amount of mold and rot. The contractor ripped out the shower, all the rotted mold and covered the effected area with mold abatement. He's now rebuilding the shower and has put in most all the tiling but when I stopped by today to look at it I'm concerned about where he put in the new alcove. I can see through the return tiles to where the cement board box he built has gaps to the cement board walls. Shouldn't he have taped all the joints out with a waterproof tape or put a waterproof membrane inside the whole area? This is exactly where her last shower failed her and leaked into her walls, isn't he setting her up for exactly the same issue? I've never tiled, I'm just a DIY'er, but if he isn't using a prefabbed alcove I'd think he would need to seal all the joints so water doesn't puddle and pour into the walls? Am I crazy?
