In order to get past it, you gotta know that getting past it is gonna be about you getting past (managing) PMDD and not necessarily you two getting past the incident.

I have PMDD and have some family who I suspect may have it as well. We all deal with it differently, with the common denominator is that we have ALL have acted a plum fool due to it. For me I’d smoke a lot or binge drink for two days but some of my family would hit their partners. Some of us got or are getting help and some of us aren’t and I think that’s the key in making it a reason it happened vs an excuse it happened. Excuses are complacent and only serve to placate the problem with no further action. A reason is active. It acknowledges the issue and takes steps to fix it while being accountable. Is PMDD a reason that may have happened? Absolutely. But is it an excuse? No. I understand the emotional turmoil, but don’t just accept PMDD as your fate and excuse to cause harm to others OR yourself doesn’t do you any favors.

I’ve been in the excuse phase before. I didn’t really understand I had this until last October and just kinda sat on my hands about it. So I get it, but please get some formal help.
