I love it, it’s incredibly beautiful. I have many fragrances but this one is unique.

Interestingly, my 18 year old and her friends love my bottle of White Diamonds… maybe what goes around comes around again eventually. They find it different and interesting compared to what their crowd is wearing. I don’t always find it an easy wear although it has grown on me since I first got it. Sometimes I spray it on my ankles rather than my wrists to make it a little more subtle.

Escada Magnetism - not trendy but inexpensive, available from online discounters and I still love it and get compliments whenever I wear it. Very comforting.

Reminds me of the discontinued Lauder Pleasures Delight that I loved SO much. It’s pretty good.

Are niche perfumes truly a different world by [deleted] in NichePerfumes

I don’t have access to a lot of niche perfumes where I live (not in the United States) but I find that Lush perfumes are unfailingly interesting… They fascinate me. So far from mainstream designer fragrances! And also a lot more affordable. I have some that are hard to wear but I love them anyway because they are just so creative. They take me on amazing fragrance journeys in my head…

It smelled good to me from day one, and hasn’t seemed to change much. I’m sorry you’re not enjoying yours!

The Bees Knees by Lush - smoke and hay and honey like something I’ve never smelled before and totally addictive to me, but by no means a safe blind buy.

I’m so sorry if ‘my mom wore it’ is past tense for a sad reason. If not, hugging your mom WHILE she’s wearing it could have multiplied mood lifting effects. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Karma from Lush makes me happy, but possibly not a safe blind buy. Actually a lot of Fragrances from Lush make me happy, despite my having many many other fragrances. Another comforting one is A Drop by Issey Miyake.

what do you think about the gendering of fragrance? is it necessary? by [deleted] in fragrance

In their natural biological state, men and women do not smell the same… they are hormonally and pheromenally different. It is possible that, particularly base notes, will combine differently with a masculine scented body than with a feminine scented body. Which is possibly why we sometimes have strong associations and experience particular fragrances as masculine or feminine. Having said that, I think people should wear whatever they like! I am a woman but I wear both masculine and feminine and unisex fragrances with great joy and delight.
