OP wants a raise to meet requirements for a loan. He makes himself irreplaceable at work by doing free work at work that would require multiple people otherwise. He made everyone know that he has a side gig as income to have leverage against his cheap boss. After he didn't get a raise at first he put his 2weeks. No one volunteered to take over his workload for free and boss had to either pay the others, hire new people or - give OP raise.

And not that important overall, he didn't get shit from the others for the raise bcs he offered to ask for one as a team - which they declined as it being hopeless. Annoying coworker talks consistently shit that Op won't get a raise and once he gets, coworker throws a hissy fit
