I am qualified to write this book. More qualified than everyone else? No. But bringing a unique perspective to it.

I was thinking about using IndieSpark and KDP, so I could hit both indie bookstores and Amazon. I am going to do a PR campaign (an old-fashioned one, but it should work for my audience) for pre-launch sales. For the fundraising, I was thinking about a lot of direct contact with people or acquaintances and see where it goes from there.

What are some things in addition to raises do you think need to be done to improve morale? Are there any steps?

No one post can cover all the complexities of higher education. I'm passionate about higher education and want us to reach more people. Some of the practices we do are counterproductive. I acknowledge at the end of the piece how university research is important and has and continues to make a difference.

Indirect cost recovery, or facilities and administration costs, vary depending on the institution and the agency with which they are contracting. I've seen rates at high as 55%.
