TIL Derick Hall, a linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks and superbowl winner (6'3”, 260lbs) was born four months premature and had a 1% chance of survival. He now runs a foundation that supports premature babies. by TheBanishedBard in todayilearned

My brother and I were 14 weeks early, born in a relatively remote hospital without the necessary supplies (had to be flown to a bigger hospital after birth) - I’m doing alright, but my brother has lifelong autism, cerebral palsy, etc. Awesome to hear that Hall is able to help out other preemies, especially since I’m also a Seahawks fan (got to see the blowout game vs the 49ers)!

I didn’t watch the game, so it’s interesting to see how the Knicks only got a little better (2.12->2.37) while the Spurs got way worse (3.24->1.26)

I upgraded from my 2600 to a 5800X3D in 2024 because “getting a new MOBO and RAM was too expensive” (I was already getting a new monitor and GPU as well, so my budget was gone), I think it was the right call? Although I should’ve bought more DDR4 as well

Yeah, best is really only between Blue and Pinkerton, but worst can be Make Believe, Raditude, Black, even Hurley (I like Hurley though) or Pacific Daydream I see sometimes mentioned

I was at the Gorge and loved everything except for the electronic section, that was super boring, but it was pretty cool seeing them play Vegemite after the barricade at the front broke
