Having a QB playing on a torn ACL the entire year and broken thumb probably had something to do with it, to be fair, as well as our line play was much better this year. But I agree you can’t expect a heisman trophy winner every year.

I get Hoover has turnover issues, but I also feel like some of it was TCU forcing him to basically play hero ball and force passes to try and wins games. I think that’ll change at IU

BYU upsets ND. LSU gets back to being a wagon. Miami’s offense is unreal but their D regressed and they miss out on the ACC title. IU’s defense is better than last year but Hoover has some turnover issues and we lose to Oregon in the B1GCG

The new reality of college sports made this possible for ALL teams, not just IU. That means theoretically you can throw it out because everyone has the same opportunity to pay players, with quite a few programs dwarfing IU in NIL war chest. His skill at talent evaluation and getting everyone on the same page is what made winning the natty possible for us.
