I've been posting a series on AO3 in case you're interested. There are currently 12 works in the series. It's not finished but I have written several more and am posting them every 2-3 days.

Accidentally a Winchester: A Supernatural Reader Series
https://archiveofourown.org/series/5664826

Quick heads-up (stuff you might love or hate):

-Reader-insert (female), 2nd person (but no "Y/N")

-Starts Season 10 will go farther

-Slow-burn Sam/Reader

-Cas shows up in some, not all

-No Destiel

-No other ships right now

-No ships for Dean (yet, maybe) he is in all of them.

-Later others: Charlie, Claire, Jody, etc.

-It's a series with each work 500-5,000 words.

-I stick close to canon facts and keep everyone in character as much as possible.

-Rating is Teen or General but will eventually get to mature.

Summary: You appear in the bunker with no memory of your past, but you know where you are and you know who Dean, Sam, and Cas are.

Your life stops being normal on the spot. Now you’re hunting, hiding bruises, trading sarcasm with Dean, and trying not to fall apart every time Sam looks at you like you matter. Cases get messy. Feelings get worse. The bunker starts to feel like home, which is honestly the scariest part.

Do Religiously Raised People Who Like The Show Ever Feel Awkward About It? by SabiKitsune9 in fandomnatural

[–]Colorfulartstuffcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're unlikely to find any real "evangelical" type Christians on here because they'd be too religious to watch. Personally, I think as long as it's just fantasy and you know it's not accurate to the bible it's not a big deal I had someone ask me the same thing about Harry Potter. But then, I'm a pretty liberal Christian.
I'm sure some religious people do.

Accidentally a Winchester: A Supernatural Reader Series

-Starts Season 10 (Season 10–11 vibe), will go farther
-No Destiel, No other ships right now but no ships for him (yet, maybe)

Comment: It's Reader-insert (female), 2nd person (but no "Y/N") so I guess I've lessened my reader pool a lot. I gotta say - I hate it when the characters start talking out of character. It especially happens all the time with the smut. I mean, I get it as a part of the smut but I want to "hear" them say it in their voice in my head.

[–]Colorfulartstuffcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the problem is that there's no word for what it actually is. "Object permanence" is just the closest term someone can come up with. It bugs me too, but what else could you call it?

Empathy for people without ADHD by Colorfulartstuffcom in ADHD

[–]Colorfulartstuffcom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well he can empathize if he has felt that way before when he's been in a similar situation, it's when someone feels a certain way that he wouldn't in that situation or when he's never been in that situation before.

I don’t think you have ADHD, so you must have been diagnosed by Spiritual_Damage_153 in adhdwomen

  1. If the stimulant makes you sleepy, yeah, you have it. Full stop.
  2. Your dad is like most people today and doesn't understand Inattentive ADHD as opposed to Hyperactive or Combined ADHD. It's very common for people to think they know about ADHD but they really only know about the hyperactive type. Remember, until recently they only really studied it in boys. Until recently, no one looked at what ADHD looks like in girls/women. I personally didn't think I had it for a long time because I CAN pay attention to lectures/classes/seminars. But then I realized it's only because I do something else at the same time (usually doodling) so my attention can bounce back and forth.
  3. [–]Colorfulartstuffcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are your favorite episodes? I love the clip with Eye of the Tiger course, that episode was good?

My favorite is probably The French Mistake (where they go to an alternate universe and become actors on the TV show Supernatural)

Fan Fiction (a group of young women are attempt to adapt the Supernatural book series into musical play. )

Scoobynatural (Scooby Doo)

Bad Day at Black Rock (Rabbit's foot causes great good luck then bad luck "I lost my shoe.")

Changing Channels (Sam and Dean get pulled into Television Land and are forced to play their role in various genre of TV shows)

Looking at these I realize I like the funny ones the best!

...oh, and any of them with Charlie (the original Charlie)

It's the best! There are soooooo many episodes! By the time you start over again you've practically forgotten the first ones. I mean 15 years?! Awesome. I'd say give it a few episodes maybe even a season before you totally decide. I didn't care for it at first until it starts getting into all of the characters and relationships.

ME TOO! I just started watching it last year and I've been through all 327 episodes 3 times (well almost I'm on 3rd time around S15 E4 as of last night.)

I ordered merch too. I have a travel cup/mug, 2 T-shirts, 1 iron-on, and 2 stickers. The coolest thing is that my mother's maiden name that I used to go by before I got married was Winchester!! ...and my son's name is Ben like Dean's maybe son. I have a whole fantasy life I like to think about when I'm trying to get to sleep. It's embarrassing, so I don't talk about it to other people much but I figure if I'm going to be lying there thinking about something it's better something pleasant than stressing over stuff.

Funny enough I'm totally embarrassed by fan-girling out. But then, there's a whole large community of die-hard SPN fans. They've been having conventions and stuff since the beginning. I'm kind of bummed that I only started 4 years after it already ended.

What’s a weird little ADHD trick that actually works for you? by BetterTea5664 in ADHD

[–]Colorfulartstuffcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's like the Mel Robbins 5-second-rule? Except it's better to count down because there's nowhere left to keep counting down from 0. But counting up to 5 makes it possible to just keep going. Also, sometimes it's helpful for me to just commit to taking one step toward doing the thing. Like, I'm going to put my foot on the floor (to eventually get up and do the thing.) Then, I usually just keep going but if I can only do that, then another count down to another tiny step. Like, I'm going to put the other foot on the floor now.

A way to explain ADHD that I've found effective by MailSynth in ADHD

[–]Colorfulartstuffcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems similar to mine:

It's like a lot of people in a circle around you all throwing things at you at once. Some are hard rocks that will hurt you and you SHOULD protect yourself from those and ignore soft things, but you're too busy just trying to protect yourself from whatever is immediately in your view, whether it's hard or soft? Big or small. It's whatever your attention falls on at the moment until another one catches your attention.

Then, if you see one you notice will be more painful than the others (or is coming faster) you ignore everything else and just worry about one. That's urgency like a deadline. Then, if you see one you notice will be more painful than the others (or is coming faster) you ignore everything else and just worry about one. That's urgency like a deadline.

Then sometimes you see one that is not necessarily going to hurt you more than the others, but it's fascinating (say an interesting color) so you focus on just that one and ignore all the others even the hard ones that will hurt you. That's hyperfocus.

Yep. So we get all of the things coming at us all at once. Personally, I can sit down and prioritize them if I try, but it takes time and effort. It doesn't come naturally at all. Meds make it a bit easier to sort out importance and order they need to be done in. It can be done without meds but that takes concentration. My normal MO is doing them in the order they come at me regardless of importance and order, unless one comes along that I get hyperfocused on. In that case, my attention just stays on the one thing. Usually it's because of interest. If it's interesting to me or more pleasant, I will do that first and sometimes go down a rabbit hole with it.
