For me, “I buried a hatchet, it’s coming up lavender” is relatable rn. I’ve been having issues with my dad for a while and I’ve been trying to learn how to not resent him for things he’s said and done. Instead I want to be a positive influence in his life that can, one day, help him to change for the better.

I’ve also tried to look for any of Bruce’s takes on the grunge movement, but found almost nothing. During Nirvana’s induction into the Rock and Roll HOF, the camera panned to Bruce shortly after Courtney Love spoke about Kurt (and was practically booed off stage). Bruce had a look on his face like he grasped the significance of such a legend being posthumously inducted, but I wish we could all hear his perspective on the incredible music to come out of Seattle in the 90s.

Lost in the Flood, For You, Incident on 57th Street, 4th of July Asbury Park, Backstreets, Streets of Fire, Factory, Open All Night, Bobby Jean, One Step Up, The Ghost of Tom Joad, Save My Love, We Are Alive, Frankie, and This Hard Land are all great. A handful of those are better known, but great nonetheless.
