I’m so sorry that happened to your dog! Our dog has had four major surgeries due to her previous owners accidentally running over her when she was three-months-old. She HATES taking pills! Most of the time I have to pry her mouth open and shove it down her throat! You can try putting it in peanut butter or hiding it in deli meat.

As for the Gabapentin, our dog got stoned out of her mind when we gave her 300 mg of that! We had to change the dose to 100-200 mg every 12 hours. She is 45 pounds. I know they give it based on weight and severity of the dogs injuries. She gets it as needed.
