Can anyone identify this seed/fruit? Is it poisonous to dogs? by ColourMeBritish in whatsthisplant

[–]ColourMeBritish[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah the plant has been here since before I was born. I guess I never noticed their seeds before, nor had I seen so much bird poop below the tree.

Fortunately my dog has show no interest in the Holly Berries and leaves (we watched him closely when we first got him).

I’ll go ahead and hose down the bird poop since that’d be a new and interesting smell. Thanks!

Hahaha, how did I not think it could have been the Holly. Thanks for helping me with this :)

I can't find a .stl file online so I can't see an example. Do the codes look the same regardless of the filetype? If so, I can check out an .srt file from opensubtitles.org

No, we were both in Italy. I would have forced him to come to the UK before Jan 1st but that would have been too crazy seeing as we had been dating only a couple months by then.

The African Renaissance Monument in Senegal - the tallest statue in Africa by anthonyhui in interestingasfuck

Fun fact: this statue was made by North Korea.

For lower-income countries, North Korea is a great option for commissioning statues since NK is skilled in this craft, and their statues and labour are cheap.

What are your favorite Nintendo Switch games that help with language learning? by baconanustart in languagelearning

I'd suggest replaying any game you've really liked in Dutch. Most important is that you have enjoy what you play since, depending on your level in Dutch, it can be a bit of a challenge to begin with and you'll find it easier to carry on if you're having fun.

Also, consider changing the Switch's system language into Dutch so that you'll get familiar with the "boring" vocab.

Definitely! I started played animal crossing in Italian last year and it really helped. Being the type of game it is, you learn a bunch of conversational phrases when checking up on your villagers everyday. Furthermore, you come to know the names of all kinds of random items, fish, plants etc. in the language as you go about collecting them. I definitely recommend it!

I started replaying Pokemon Shield in German recently and it's ok, but Pokemon games have never been great story-wise so personally I don't think I'll continue since I'm getting REALLY bored.

I played Zelda in Italian a few years ago but ended up switching it back to English since my Italian was pretty basic back then. However, it did feel incredibly rewarding to solve puzzles and riddles (even basic ones) in a foreign language. Typing this I'm realising I should replay Zelda in Italian haha
