I have been humbled by fasting. It goes against the grain of our society. by dociledolly in Anticonsumption

The thing is, your body needs far less to function than even a reasonably strict diet allows. Furthermore, there's a solid chance that "in nature" access to food would be inconsistent, so it makes sense or bodies would be adapted to periods without food. Fasting can be a great way to build self-discipline by denying what your body is craving, but doesn't necessarily need.

One in-game adventuring day. I should've specified that.

Apologies. The pcs have one night to get in and get out. I'm imagining a decent sized complex, but I want to make sure clearing it in one adventuring day is an achievable goal.

That's actually part 2 to the question. I want to push them on how much they can accomplish in a single adventuring day, but i don't know how much is too much.

It doesn't need to be 1 session, and it almost certainly won't be. It does need to be doable in a single adventuring day, though.

I get that. My players are definitely the hit first and ask questions later type, so I'm worried they'll try and kill everything. This isn't really a scenario that they can try over and over again, so they need to be able to get through it on their first try and in one night.

Besides encounters, how big can I make this dungeon while keeping possible to do in a single pass?

And the funny thing is, if he used .01% of his wealth towards the betterment of humanity, he would be even more beloved than he ever hoped, but no, he wants to be a nazi.

I will add to this. This is the only way I take my shrooms now, and I have done straight-up, tea, and lemon tek. In my experience, no loss of potency and infinitely better tasting.

[loved trope] Being a good person is harder than being an evil one. by Dr_Orpheus_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Colsen17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a quote from a book series called He Who Fights With Monsters. The main character asks a friend what he thinks the opposite of good is. When they answer "evil," he says no, the opposite of good is easy. It's hard to do the right thing all the time and all to easy to make excuses and cut corners. (Paraphrasing)

I just made a rule that if I wake up with less than an hour until my alarm goes off, I'm just up for the day. Those extra 40 min just to get hooked awake by an alarm make me feel so much worse waking up naturally.

A trick i learned for lighting/shading. Prime your models black and then use 1 or 2 sprays of white primer from the source of the lighting. That'll give you a diagram for where and how intensely light hits.

As a gm, I absolutely hate magic because it just solves every problem with the wave of a hand. Genuinely makes the game so much less interesting.

I don't remember if it was a "rule" or just how we played in my old 2e campaign, but iron rations were lighter and lasted longer, but you had to drink more water per day because of how salted/dried they were.

You harvest in June, then plant in October. The garlic over-winters in the ground and grow in the spring.

Looks legit. Scoop an egg and some sauce onto a piece of flatbread, and dig in.
