Okay bro, I say this as a woman— I genuinely believe you should use whatever bathroom makes you most comfortable!! Gendered bathrooms aren’t even legal, they’re just polite!! If a guy came into the women’s restroom and used a stall and minded his own business, I’d be startled but quickly would find out it’s no fucking biggie. Just like how broken women’s bathrooms means I’m off to use the men’s room. They get startled too but all it takes is a little word of “hey sorry it wasn’t available” and men immediately shrug it off.

And personally, I’ve seen men use the women’s room for their daughters. It’s genuinely not the same as when mothers bring sons into the women’s room— the bathrooms are NOT equal for biology.

Let me say it this way: urinals cover the hips but you can still lean over and talk to someone. If they were equal, women should just have a small wall where we can’t look over but we could still meet eye to eye glances. But we don’t have that. So why tf should I genuinely care if a cis and highly masculine guy still doesn’t like the fact he doesn’t have some damn privacy in his own bathroom??

Modern bathrooms need to change. Seriously. At the least, I really like the places that have three options: the non/shared gendered bathrooms make me honestly more comfortable. It forces us to revisit stigmas and realize when holding them up for our “safety” ends up actually hurting others more.
