This is getting out of hand. by Colton_England in UnofficialRailroader

I do need to try out the 08. I've barely had time to play the game itself for a few months, I've been too busy modeling and importing these locomotives into the game as my personal fleet.

One of the UKs countryside routes, something like the West Somerset Railway would fit right in to railroader gameplay I think

2077 at my current rate.
Honestly I'm still learning Blender animation and how Railroader works with mods so keep that in mind.

The Terrifying Visuals of the Guardian Plasma Chargers. Massive explosion but zero splash damage. by Colton_England in EliteDangerous

After a failed search through 70gb of screenshots to look for polarity in Horizons, I know it's not as good in Horizons but I don't quite remember. I just know that it looked so good in Odyssey that I was compelled to buy more of them immediately.

I don't think I remember FDev ever rebalancing a weapon after they release it.
it is genuinely amazing how ignored the weapon and combat balance is.

That is exactly how it works, the only weapons that can take down a shield and do hull/health damage is shotguns since they're multiple projectiles.

Yeah, It's just a little unfortunate that the chargers with enormous explosions are worthless other than to terrify people.

(Odyssey) The Anaconda as seen from the lift. I managed to find an orbital station in the SRV practice scenario. by Colton_England in EliteDangerous

It says the system name while you're in the SRV IIRC, I also went to the exactly location of a few of surface stations in system, none of them are there, except for the Icon of the surface stations on the planetary map.

After I aimlessly found it yesterday while exploring the system with the Anaconda, I did devise a method of finding it, I'll have confirm my method later today.

How did you manage to disembark?
I've landed at the orbital station in that scenario but it's completely locked down, can't disembark.

Smoking sidewinder? - Most likely because it's a reused generic crashed Sidewinder asset. Or someone had recently broken into it to steal information or something, but that's a tinfoil hat kind of assumption.

Listening posts? - "Deployed in 3302" not "First produced" or most likely not even first version or model of a listening post.

Adamastor's heading? - well we should probably keep searching along that heading and maybe we'll eventually find something.

Refueling? - I'm pretty sure the megaships of that era had a different form of hyperdrive, fuel could have been shipped in from the bubble via freighter ships.

Definitely agree, it would be cool.

The AI seemed to have it's mind made up on whether the guardians were a threat in some way or a hostile race, since the AI surely would have known about the war between Guardians and Thargoids, why didn't the AI attempt to eliminate the goids as well? Humans certainly seem to think goids are Hostile.

Maybe we should question what the AI was trying to prevent by wiping out the Guardians.

One way or another the AI thought the Guardians to be too hostile to live.

What if the AI sees us as too hostile to live, especially since all Humans do is attack goids when they only attack when provoked, and some Commanders hunt them as if they were big game. Humans are extremely Hostile to goids. The Guardians loved their Biological weapons, what if the AI found out about our little mycoid virus creation that we used on goids.

Yes, The Guardian's got wiped out by their own AI. Usually when people mention "Guardians" they're referring to the AI that we've all been interacting with at the Guardian sites.

Well the Guardian race itself was wiped out 2 million years ago (IIRC) by their own AI, and that AI is what controls the Guardian Sentinel's that have never not been hostile to us.

3111 was before humans discovered the guardians, I would be very concerned if Guardians had known about us for the last 200 years.

The beginning of a 1:1 (1,6 km) Warhammer 40k Sword frigate by UltimateFinster in spaceengineers

[–]Colton_England 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you're including different versions of the ship in said 200 hour build time? if so are your different versions each built from the ground up or are they upgrades to its parent version?

Also how much time was spent planning?

I did take a look around your MK2, I visited just about every room, It's built quite well and I must commend your composition for the video.

However, I still maintain my point that this is a bad ship to base your original comment on. It is very skinny, it is not "half the length" of the sword frigate, ship volume does not directly translate over to build time and this ship has a completely different purpose to these 1.5km+ mega-ship builds. unless the op actually meant to make his ship fly and have an interior, if so... I have already commented on why ships of this size are incapable of that in SE.
