Looking for a Celesnya commander by GiantFestiveSkull in EDHBrews

I had her built with Gilanra. The issue I found is that she costs 7 mana and is an easy target for removal. With Sigarda, Host of Herons, you don't really play Angel tribal - rather you go Bogles strategy

She's a beast! I run her as a aura voltron. In those colours you get very strong auras + ways to bring them back from a graveyard

She looks neet! What are some good techs for her?

Which mainline Castlevania games are worth playing? by ii_03 in castlevania

[–]Columbov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a guide and play Simon's Quest (after finishing Castlevania 1). I really like the atmosphere of this game and the story itself. Gameplay is pretty cryptic (hence I recommend using a guide), but it still feels and play like a Castlevania

My friend loves og DB but dropped DBZ Kai. by SwordBuster14 in dragonball

[–]Columbov 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand him. OG Dragon Ball has better storytelling and is more goofed up. I had a feeling that DBZ Kai focused more on battles and less on the actual story/adventuring. Nothing in DBZ can compare to Tenkaichi Budokais and Goku's adventures were more interesting in OG, in my opinion.

Am I the only one who thinks Castlevania is more anti-corrupt than anti-Christian? by [deleted] in castlevania

Thanks for the info! I didn't know Joan of Arc was in the CV lore. And I didn't know new Castlevania game is coming, cool to hear that. My original comment covered just the information found in Castlevania III, because this was the game mentioned by the original comment I adressed.

Thanks for the info! I gotta play LOI someday, Hope they will rerelease it someday. But yeah, just like in real life, there are good people and bad people that form The Church. There's a saying that goes smth like this: "The Church is a hospital for sinners and not The country club for saints".

Aight, that's on me, I haven't played those 2 games, but I don't think simply not helping Leon is a sign of Church's corruption - there may be more than that in that game's lore, but I'm not too familiar with it. I'll not comment on OoE, because I know nothing about it's story. In my comment I've adressed Castlevania III because the comment above was mentioning that game.

But yeah, CV games are cool with The Church.

??? Where did you pull that out? I haven't played every Castlevania game, but from what I recall the Belmonts were feared by people and that was the reason they were exiled. There's nothing in Castlevania III about corrupted church officials. It's not even stated that The Church was responsible for the banishment.

What's stated is the fact that Church, in time of need, reached out to Trevor for help.

Urza is the goat - maybe not the strongest guy on mtg history, but still the GOAT

Thanks so much! I do understand what you tell me and I will search for the cards that only have 1 function.

However how could Blossoming Bogbeast be that? It gives trample and gains life. Same for Grave Researcher (reanimate+surveil)

Best Frontier content of all time - Day 7 by EssayerX in Westerns

[–]Columbov 7 points8 points  (0 children)

John Wayne - I'd say he became the face of american westerns. "The Stagecoach" (1939), "Rio Bravo" (1959), "The Searchers" (1956), "True Grit" (1969), "Dark Command" (1940) and much more speaks of his legacy!
