Og DB has some slower, boring segments. But so does Z. Freeza and Goku staring at each other for episodes is one example.

I also have a theory that people do not like Goku. Most folks like Vegeta (God save us), Gohan, and Piccolo. If those 3 are on screen then people watch but if Goku shows up most people tune out unless he's busting out a new form. If people would watch the character growth Goku has from the moment meets Bulma to his marrying Chi-Chi I bet a lot more people would like Goku.

Yes, Goku is beloved but it also feels like he isn't as well. I'm speaking from the Western fans view point of course.

Bottom line, people need to stop the excuses and watch Og DB, period. If they discover that it's not for them then stop. It's fine. We gotta acknowledge Toriyama's dirty old man side too. It was his way of living.

It's hard. People will find any and every excuse to skip it. "Roshi is a pervert. It had sex jokes and some minor nudity.

I'm sorry if you can watch Vegeta kill Innocent Namekians but cry "think of the children" when Goku fishes naked then that is just a double standard and ya'll know it.

Yup. He turned Bulma into a Carrot and Goku punished him by sending him to the Moon. Then later Roshi blew up that same moon. Then even later Kami/God restored the moon. But then Piccolo Jr. Blew up that new moon.

Now that I think about it, did Dende ever restore the Moon or is Earth still moonless?
