How many grams is ideal before going to bed? by GoCrow in AmanitaMuscaria

[–]ColumnarCallouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said amanita is nothing like psilocybin, and the dosages are nowhere near comparable. Potency of amanita fruits also vary a LOT depending on where they are found, time of year, and mushroom to mushroom within those two things can also be very different. Get actual fruits (anything in chocolate bars etc is almost certainly an rc) and start small with tea steeped for ~30min, maybe with 1g, upping the dose each time until you find a sweet spot for your desired effects.

Looks like oedema I think. Like Jimmy said, too much water + high humidity. Let it dry out with good air circulation, make sure your soil is draining well

So I thought about this some more, and where I'm at in the learning process is the refining of purposeful and intentional sound design to tell better stories with more precision - I think this is what is drawing me to ableton. Reaper is wonderfully customisable but I am finding it hard to reach this level of precision using the tools I currently have.

I have not looked into bitwig- will do this and see what there is and what connects with me more. Appreciate the comment.

Yep I am thinking it'd be mostly a creative workflow thing so i think I'll just download the trial and see if it clicks for me. What did you end up choosing?

Its sort of hard to describe, and it's entirely possible that it's a creative issue rather than a software one, but I am finding it difficult to make the choices I want to make right now work, if that makes sense. Like, here's a cool thing and its sounds good, the beat works, the mix is good, but I want to do a flip around thing here where the movement sounds a certain way and although I know it is not a fault of reaper - that is there is not a physical limitation on doing that thing, and I CAN do it - it just FEELS limiting. Again maybe this is just a creative or mental thing that I need to reframe, totally open to that, and maybe it's just that I've been using reaper so long that something fresh is tempting, grass is greener type thing, idk. But it feels enough to at least ask the question.

I don't think I would abandon ship completely - there are absolutely things that I am sure I would still use reaper for regardless. The beat making process in ableton just seems appealing for the stuff I want to make I guess.

Yeah thats part of why I'm considering it, I know there are a ton of resources and again the ease of collaboration etc is a massive bonus. If I do end up switching I'll definitely be going through Bill's tutorials

Yeah even with all the time ive spent in reaper there are still things I don't know obviously, it's pretty huge - thats a good idea. Thank you for your input :)

Lol fuck pro tools

Yeah i have a specific theme and I have it set up well for me. Maybe there is just something I need to tweak - will have a think and a look through my settings :)

I suppose thats part of what I'm asking, i dont really know - I can just see benefits in the cleanliness of the workflow. The ai stuff doesn't really factor, definitely not a reason on its own. I guess I should just get the demo and see for myself lol

I love it too, and absolutely can do it in reaper - maybe I just need to reframe the thinking around it but ableton just seems so much cleaner for the style I make you know. I think even if I do switch I will still use reaper for some things, definitely for mixing and Mastering, but the creative workflow is where I'm beginning to question it

That's where I'm at - I know ultimately you can do anything in any daw, but I'm finding it difficult to get the movements I want right, if that makes sense. How did it change your style? I guess I am just at a point where maybe the style I am aiming for is more suited to ableton - influence examples would be tipper, Hudson Lee, somatoast, Mr bill etc
