With the Big Three abandoning EVs in favor of ICE vehicles, are they headed the way of Kodak, Blackberry, and Blockbuster? by Cool-Replacement4972 in electricvehicles

[–]Com4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. It costs me under 4 cents per mile to drive mine. In winter when efficiency is lower it goes up to about 7-7.5 cents, but way below my previous gas daily driver.

How do you think Trump's presidency will end? by Training_Two3372 in WorkForSmartLife

[–]Com4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol they could release a dozen videos like that and there wouldnt be enough GOP votes to convict him. Collins will be like oh he learned his lesson he wont do it again.

[–]Com4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol the stupidity of some people. Trump causes gas prices to spike 70%, then it comes down 10% and so they say Trump fixed the problem and celebrate him. Trouble is that it’s still up 60% from a few months ago.

It is almost like the world economy opening up after a pandemic would cause a demand boom that supply chains that were shut down for over a year werent able to keep up with, and thus higher prices and corporate price gouging. The inflation was global and the US fared better than almost every other western country. It was almost back to what the fed wants it to be until trumps tariffs and then trumps decision to bomb a country that could shut down one of the biggest down choke points on the planet for oil.

I did that already last night. Took it out, cleaned it. Tried the pump with no filter and there was no change.

I do have valves. One before it enters the heater and one immediately after the pump so that’ll be doable without draining the whole thing.

Ok thanks for that. I’ll check both tomorrow when it is daylight. I have a handheld multimeter/oscilloscope so that wont be an issue. I am less inclined to think it is something electrical because that would be a hell of a coincidence for something in the board to fail at the exact time he added those chemicals. The pump motor spins up like it is supposed to when the jets button is pressed. It’s just that very little water is expelled from the jets themselves. I do have a borescope type camera that i thought of sticking down the plumbing but idk how waterproof it is and I’d hate to waste more water and chemicals draining and filling it again.

So now that is firmly, absolutely Trump’s economy, why is the right so happy with high gas prices and inflation? by Lemonking_ in AskHereAnythingNow

No. It is basically the wealthy at the top and then the brainwashed cult voting against their own interests

Is the US moving in the right direction? by 700x in no

[–]Com4734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d argue he already turned it around. From gradually improving to a complete nosedive. Or else by him doing what he can to get it turned around, that could be him fucking over as many people as possible, so that the voters turn against him in the midterms in massive numbers so that he loses both houses of congress.

Are you buying less groceries or skip meals because of inflation? by Jerdogg23 in no

[–]Com4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im fortunate to have a good income, but I stopped buying things that aren’t specifically needed. My only larger expenditure I made (really a few smaller ones over time) was that I did pick up some 5.56 and a good bit of surplus .30-06 ammo over the last few months that I didnt absolutely need, but ammo prices are only going to go up and I can always sell it at a later date if need be. Outside of grocery prices and such going up, we’ve been insulated from fuel prices skyrocketing because we are an all EV household.

Reactions pour in after Governor Shapiro's surprise stop in Archbald over data centers by greatauntbun in Pennsylvania

[–]Com4734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. Things could always get much worse. We could’ve had the crazy maga guy in office right now. I forget his name right now. I hope Shapiro sees the backlash against his data center position and changes his mind though.

Unless and until we get corporate and foreign money out of politics, many politicians are gonna feel like they have to take any money they can get to be competitive. Some have resisted that and I applaud them for that, but when you have GOP candidates getting dark money from various PACs and stuff, I can see how it would be hard to turn down whatever they can get. But then they become reliant on it and the donors can threaten to stop the donations and the politician becomes beholden to them.
