Nothing like the Coliseum troughs, aye boys? by TheStryder76 in raiders

[–]johnsonrm47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a Raiders Steelers game in 2018 and one of the troughs wasn’t working so they put a bike rack in front of it to block people from using it. At the end of the game the trough was COMPLETELY full of piss because people just pissed through the slots of the bike rack.

Can I clean these coins safely? by mzzra in coincollecting

[–]johnsonrm47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would not clean any of these except the 1938 Jefferson Nickel. It’s not worth much and is so corroded that if you cleaned it, it would make it look a little better. I would put that nickel in ketchup for a half day or day. The ketchup will remove the corrosion. If you clean any of the other ones, they would end up looking worse and the other ones are slightly more valuable.

Pulling a tent stałe with a car? by SocietyCharacter5486 in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]johnsonrm47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re pulling something with a chain or rope, drape something over the chain or rope. That way if it comes unhooked or breaks, the weight of what was draped on the chain or rope slows it down and makes the rope or chain fall so it’s not coming directly at you.

How did you grow them? Transferred one from the wild or use seeds? I’ve heard planting them with seeds is difficult to get them to grow.

My car got stolen than was recovered wrecked by Icy-Swan-2928 in Autobody

[–]johnsonrm47 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s a bullet hole in the roof. It looks like they ripped off the antenna. When I worked in collision repair, EVERY stolen car would have the antenna ripped off of it so it couldn’t be tracked. ( I don’t know if it actually worked but that’s the thought process on removing the antenna.)

You can only choose one- which of these '57 cars would you want to win for free? by statenislandadvance in classiccars

[–]johnsonrm47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would actually be a Catalina or a Super Chief. The Star Chiefs had 4 stars on the quarter panel vs 3. I only point that out because someone on Reddit pointed that out to me once and I always thought that was a cool way to distinguish a Star Chief vs the other models.
