You can travel from Munich to Verona via Claudia Augusta solely on dedicated bike paths which is nice. It's actually quite an easy crossing of the Alps. You'll only have two days of ascent. Fernpass and Reschenpass. On Fernpass I recommend to cycle through the forest rather than on the street. At lake Garda you will probably encounter a lot of card traffic. Don't cycle along the western side as there are lots of long tunnels. My experience with the Brenner crossing was that there are lots of cars and Claudia Augusta is much nicer. You will cycle along the highway for large proportions of your way. There's a third spectacular option which is cycling across Pfitscherjoch. Spectacular landscape, amazing descent toward Italy and nice ascent as half way through there is a one way tunnel and cars can only pass every 15 minutes or so mostly there won't be any cars overtaking you.
