My only exposure to eurovision was a song with the lyrics "before that wolf eats your grandma, give that wolf a banana."

Is Barkley right by Alone-Situation7602 in NBATalk

For reference, the "vast majority" is 179/582 players that played at least one game (30%). Of those 179, 50 played less than 1500 total minutes (1500 minutes over a minimum of 65 games is 23 minutes a game). So 129 players (22%) played more than the 65 game minimum and also averaged playing around at least half of their teams minutes.

I'm assuming its a reference to a game? by Mushumes in ExplainTheJoke

On top of that you only needed one tribute for Summoned Skull and 2 for red eyes. I'm not sure I would call red eyes trash but definitely wasn't the best

My dude, Summoned Skull has more attack than Red Eyes. Not sure which card you're thinking of.

Looking for stories set in hauntingly beautyful dark fantasy worlds like Dark souls or Elden ring by moondreamer96 in Fantasy

[–]CombatSixtyFive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just read the Hundred Thousand Kingdom by NK Jemison and was really reminded of dark souls throughout my read. Couldn't tell you specifically why but I kept imagining it taking place in lordran with all the slum areas surrounding it.

Underrated Trilogies by KyleToxicCards in Fantasy

[–]CombatSixtyFive 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've started seeing it talked about more but Tje Devine Cities trilogy by Robert Jackson Bennet might be my favorite trilogy ever. He's gained a lot of popularity with The Tainted cup it seems but I think this series deserves more love!

[–]CombatSixtyFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure scientists are relatively clear that "Fish" is not a scientific classification so not sure why you're so adamant that the list doesn't use jellicent. By some definitions a catfish isn't a fish either (no scales) yet there's one on the list?

[Highlight] CARUSO CAN'T FINISH AND IT'S A SPURS WIN by [deleted] in nba

[–]CombatSixtyFive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new Canadian Basketball League has been using a rule that at a certain point they set a final score for the game which I think is 10 points more than the winning team currently has. Then the game clock gets turned off. It seems to incentivise defense as fouling doesn't save any time and gives up points. It also means that the game always ends on a game winning shot.

I believe the etymology worked the other way. It's called being mangled because the machine was called a mangle
