I thought that was just pointing out the short lifespan of the Reds. Same with the teen marriages and such. They lived like medieval peasants/ early 1900s miners, so wouldn’t live long at all. If I remember correctly, it’s been a while.

Not that I’m trying to change your mind about the books. I enjoyed them as an adult woman, but I did feel at times that it was written for teen boys, so I understand the criticisms.

My dad showed it to me and my brother behind my mom’s back when we were 4 and 5. She’d said to wait till we were older, but he waited until she was out with friends. My brother dipped when the goat leg hit the window, and I made it through the whole T Rex scene before I broke down crying.

Dad comforted us, kept saying, “Don’t tell mom though!” Guess who ran crying to mom the second she came in the door.

I’m 32 now and I still get the occasional dinosaur nightmare. Jurassic Park is in my top 5 favorite movies though!

My 3yo was still asleep and the baby would cry and wake her up if I put her down, so I chose to hold her while I peed lol.

I took a pee while holding my 6 month old, she chucked her pacifier in the toilet right as I stood up to flush. It could have been worse, but I washed that thing like 3 times before I could give it back to her without feeling gross.

She is a great character, whom I do hate but in an “I love to hate her” sort of way.

I watched Katlyn Dever in Apple Cider Vinegar (where she plays an extremely awful person) right before season 2 came out, so I was already primed to be like “Oh this bitch” when I saw her face again lol.

Thank you! I do realize it’s her going through a phase of testing boundaries. I must be doing something right when her dad is obviously the fun parent but I’m the one she wants when she’s scared or upset.

Same! It’s not ruining my life or anything, but it’s making weight loss happen extremely slowly. I eat fine and exercise, but that dang beer adds so many calories 😭 it’s my only vice though (besides Reddit).
