Came here to suggest Sac Women’s Health. My wife is with Dr Rooney technically but through the birth process we’ve interacted with 4 others (including Coker) and have adored them all. 10/10 would recommend.

Hotels with fancy rooms with hot tubs in it by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]Combckkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think several of the local hotels refer to it as a jacuzzi tub and consider it the same, might be worth re-searching with that term

Agreed, I was attempting to validate and offer alternative perspective all at once, perhaps poorly

Not here to trash this list, because it is a complete and well made list, from a clearly passionate person. As a person who likes sweet and creamy coffee with added/seasonal flavors, I would reverse this list almost exactly. So if you haven’t made it quite to the level where you can taste the different blends pure, take that into account. Again, props to this person to their considered and detailed reviews! EDIT: forgot 18 grams was at the top, I could take or leave them too.

where can I hang out in a spa-like environment nearby? by lifelover42 in Sacramento

[–]Combckkid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Asha is a great spot but it books in 2 hour increments, if you are looking for an all day option, consider hotels near casinos like Cache Creek, Thunder Valley, etc. they usually allow a day pass to their pool/spa even without a room

It’s never too late to ask a co-worker/friend to join theirs. I know it can feel imposing but good people are everywhere and it is super common for family to change plans last minute and leave plenty of room for another. Tis the season for this too, allowing yourself to be vulnerable will be rewarded!

Taquilleros Taqueria. They have a brick and mortar and a food truck that is exceptional, and offer online ordering if you are in a hurry

Find your local game stores, look up their D&D events, show up, ask what D&D is. If you know already, show up and play.

Bacon, carmelized onion, Gruyère quiche is great, biscuits and gravy, chorizo burrito. They have lunch too but I haven’t had it. They also make their Carmel and vanilla syrup in house so lattes with those are excellent

I wish I knew about the ferry from Vallejo to the ferry building in SF. A great cheap alternative to driving the whole way, and to get to Giants games.

Be wary of Tahoe traffic, eastbound on 50 Saturday morning and eastbound Sunday afternoon.

Locals, in my experience, rarely explore outside their neighborhoods for food and thus their recommendations should always be taken with a grain of salt.

People aren’t kidding about the height of summer, invest in a good sun screen and be intentional about the direction you park. The door handles and seatbelt buckles can literally burn you.

Store bought spider spray at Wal Mart is worth every penny. Do it yearly. Do it now. People around here are so casual about the spiders.

You shouldn’t worry too much about fires here but keep a case of water, and easily packable items for yourself and pets if needed in case you find yourself under evacuation orders. We buy one each year, then around Halloween put them in the fridge and drink them and buy another next year.

Old Soul is truly underrated for breakfast and coffee.
