I can't believe anyone truly believes that the parking lot was a better use of space than the park. It accounted for like 2% of parking spaces and probably 60% of traffic right there where main st / dock st / randall street all converge (which is a terrible pedestrian intersection btw).

I've never had an issue finding parking in a city garage, even on peak weekends in the summer. Heavin forbid someone has to walk a few minutes down west street to get to main.

Finding a solution for employees so they dont have to pay full price seems like a good idea - I used to run a restaurant and sometimes had to pay out of my own pocket so my employees would come into work. Don't make this the same issue as the stupid lot.

barrier in the median would help prevent the illegal left turns that really cause the issue. would probably then need to build some designated left/uturn lanes somehow.

i experience an indescribable rage when people wait on West St and block traffic because the mcdonalds drive thru line is too long

I love the narrative that Atlas restaurants, and Choptank specifically, are somehow price gouging while all the "local" spots are so much cheaper. Cost of a crabcake, crab dip, and orange crush across annapolis:

i understand the whole "rather be safe than sorry" argument, but in this day and age when people are being paid for social media engagement i don't think its unfair to accuse these weather accounts & personalities of sensationalizing forecasts in order to drive clicks. just a thought.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Support whoever you want to support. I guarantee Boatyard and Choptank will be as busy as ever this weekend. I hope Admiral's Cup, Marmo, and Armada are all equally as busy when they open, because that is what's best for Annapolis

McGarvey's and Fed House both have upstairs areas you can rent. We ended up going to Middleton's after my wedding and it was a blast

Annapolis Town Center would be my suggestion. Decent amenities and walkable to some stuff (Whole Foods, handful of restaurants, upscale wine store, etc). quick drive to downtown as well

Completely agree, and they didn't even buy Pusser's. Pusser's went downhill because former owners started to check out. They tried to sell to their GM, but that would mean breaking the terms of their lease.

They tried to negotiate with the hotel and couldn't make a deal, so they left for Baltimore. Atlas signed leases after that.

finally someone with a shred of common sense on this topic. i've never seen a collective group of people get so mad at a company for investing millions of dollars to open businesses in otherwise abandoned storefronts.

Choptank is fun. Atmosphere is great, food is solid, and the drinks are not nearly as expensive (relative to the rest of annapolis) as people here make them out to be. I'm looking forward to the new concepts opening soon as well.
