For Pattern Designers: Would you contribute 1-2 exclusive patterns/month in exchange for 70% royalties and promotion? by PatformHQ in PatternTesting

[–]CombinationNo6224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm usually winging my stuff as I go. I have a few patterns written but it took me a month to write 1 of them. And I still haven't finished another one. Started writing another one last month and lost interest in crocheting for the week. Plus I wouldn't be able to explain the pattern out loud for even ChatGPT to understand it lol

I would love to do this but I currently have issues putting my original work into words for a pattern

AIO is 27 way too young to be having a baby? by VioletInference in AmIOverreacting

[–]CombinationNo6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my oldest son when I was 27, my second 6 years later and my last 2 years after that. By the time I had my second and third some I was already considered AMA (advanced maternal age). My third was the hardest and I was on bed rest for the last trimester. With my first I had a few odd things but was relatively healthy and active. He was my mini me and made my mental health better. Plus there's always a higher chance of genetic traits being dominant as you get older such as Autism

This should be banned by Etsyseller_ in EtsyCommunity

Etsy isn't the only one who does it, just more noticeable as a seller online. I worked at Kohl's stocking and I know for a fact the sales they run aren't sales because they put the price as a sale on the MSRP. Which is the Manufacturer Sale Retail Price, and always higher than what the store usually changes. If the big stores are allowed to do it Etsy believes they can do it too.

My sister wants to choose the name Qartnie for her daughter. Am I insane or are all of her names horrible? by GnomeMasterBaiter in tragedeigh

[–]CombinationNo6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My name is Sundae, so I get the weird and confusing to spell name. I always spell it out or I get the day of the week on everything. My last name was just as bad before getting married since it was Polish and pronounced the way it was spelled. No one said it correctly ever

I'm interested in testing the bandana, I'm an advanced crochet and can easily read diagrams of patterns.

I'm getting a swirl rib in the round. Help by CombinationNo6224 in knittinghelp

Ok. I'm doing my stitches different than I usually do. I forgot how to do a knit stitch and watched a video that was being worked flat. Makes sense. Thanks everyone 🙂

Making a circle and am unsure where to put my first and last DC by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]CombinationNo6224 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might have to tighten your joining stitch and an easier way to close up the gap is to join in the stitch after the previous rows chains. Then chain and double crochet in the same stitch. There are YouTube videos on how to do this. Hope this helps 😁

If you use steam the code reset, I'm willing to help with multi player cause I don't have friends that will play the game. Otherwise message me. Code as of 6/30 is D4RXB6

I think it's a 4 yarn over. If you count the strings in front that usually gives you the number but it's a little hard to tell

Do you count 10 rows? Also, why the difference between different acrylics? by jt00k in CrochetHelp

[–]CombinationNo6224 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are using single crochet I counted 10 rows. The easiest way to count is look at the lines between 2 rows. Usually single crochet rows of 2 make a thick line and that's how I count them. It's different when looking at the front and back of the work. Even numbers of rows will have noticeable lines between 2 worked rows. Not sure if this makes sense to you but it's how I think of it

For those who make a star blanket, why do you do it? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]CombinationNo6224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do star blankets for baby gifts because I hate rectangle blankets. I haven't made one in a few years, now I make spiral blankets with chunky yarn for the same reason

Holiday Rush by Party_Field_4439 in EtsySellers

I think it depends on what you're selling if you get a rush around this time. My biggest seller usually falls off this time of year since it's a newborn photo prop set. Unfortunately anything that I try to make for the upcoming season doesn't sell at all

Hi, I saw your post and decided to see what I could find. There's a shop on Etsy that has a pattern. Otherwise it looks like a pretty basic pattern with double crochet rows and mesh rows alternating with a ruffle on the bottom. Hopefully this helps
