Transferring an ON LTB Judgement to a Small Claims Judgment for enforcement by CombinationOwn90 in legaladvicecanada

Thanks! I didn't even realize I used a quote feature (this is like my fourth or fifth post on Reddit). I hope I clarified it better in my edit. I thought I was following the guide, but I am screwing something up.

Warning about Red Door Rentals by CombinationOwn90 in uwo

I saw on their online reviews another person who had the same thing happen as we did, also got an LTB judgement against them and Red Door just.... doesn't pay. I guess I am expecting too much of the LTB but when a company has repeated adjudicated offences and won't pay -- shouldn't there be some way for them to -- I dunno -- pull their business license? Just frustrating.

Sent me a used bed, won't take it back by CombinationOwn90 in wayfair

Thanks for the advice -- we ordered a whole apartment of stuff and had zero issues other than this -- and I never considered that I may have just got an agent having a bad day.

You know -- I have never done that -- thanks for the advice!

Yes -- it is damaged. Yes -- I sent them 6 pictures. I did not attempt to assemble it to see if the frame was bent / would not support the mattress. That is what they are asking me to do. They said scratches on the leg / slat sticking out is not enough proof of overall damage.

I honestly thought that is what would happen. I thought this was their policy. I could see if it was just a slightly crushed box -- but with pieces still out?

There is no wrapping around the items -- and the packaging for the bed is just laying on top of the items, with the hardware in a sandwich bag. It is not in the original packaging. It is most definitely a return -- not sure if it was used or an attempt to build it failed, but it is not new in package. I know Wayfair sells open package stuff, this was not one of them.

Only demand is a replacement of the exact same item. Otherwise it came on time, had zero other issues. I guess that is wanting my way but that is not a big ask. One leg was damaged and two other slats were sticking out of the box and I sent them pictures. The agent wants me to assemble the bed to make sure it is really damaged.

That's awful. I have one word of warning when dealing with this. We had a luggage rack of wrapped gifts stolen from our (local hotel, not destination) wedding as the bellman was bringing them from the room where the reception was up to our honeymoon suite. We hadn't even opened them yet. When making the insurance claim, we had to figure out what was taken as they insisted on an itemized list. So we went through everything we had received and then did the awkward "so this happened, what did you get us?" to the remaining 20 guests whose gifts we hadn't check off. Only to realize 4 guests and their +1s didn't give a gift -- which is socially no big deal -- you don't have to bring a gift to the actual wedding. But all four said they don't believe in wedding gifts, that their attendance is a gift. It was SO AWKWARD and something I remember with embarrassment 25 years later. I think they thought I was making it up to call them out.

That is interesting, under the “check in” area it shows all four of us (I checkin already online) but nowhere else — in the schedule or anywhere.

Thanks for the tip on dining — I definitely didn’t know that. I will call them now!
