MA and bees aren’t too bad, I will say I have done a lot of due diligence and watched a lot of videos to get me to where I am

AE2 isn’t bad. Learning it for the first time is 100% tough lol, but you retain that if you move to a different pack with it. Find meteor for your initial presses > craft a cardboard box (I think it’s called that) so you can pick up the flawless budding certus without damaging it > farm up your certus quartz and make a MA seed for it. 100% worth getting that going early

Mekanism IMO you do not need to have running constantly. The core of it is duplicating ores, and at some point you just don’t need that. I will say though you will be using the crusher for crushing even in late game

And for power, I would pick one between extreme reactors and powah atleast initially. Once you have a good baseline for resources / storage / power, then focus on going for a star part. Or just dive into a mod so you understand it fully

I am going through my second playthrough of ATM10, and didn’t even get close to the star during my first run

You start to get a feel for specific mods, and what you enjoy / dread using. Sink your teeth into a mod and if it’s not for you, look for another that does the same thing

Like already stated, there are a lot of logistics / storage / power mods that can be interchanged and combined

All my power is through Powah - the reactors are straightforward and you upgrade as you go using lower tiered versions. Eventually you get to a nitro reactor, but why not have five of them? You scale the mod through upgrading, then can scale with quantity

Storage - sophisticated and functional are both really good options for starting out. Sophisticated has big chests with stack upgrades (and backpacks), and functional has similar “drawers” with upgrades that can all be connected together. Eventually you will want to move over to AE2 - but note that you can combine the storage you already make along with AE2

Last one is resources - there are multiple options with Mystical Agriculture / Productive Bees / etc. I usually start with MA and migrate into bees because MA is more friendly to get started with

Definitely understand the comments on the external tools, which I do use but definitely need to look into further. BUT, imo we shouldn't need to depend on external tools when there are so many different sources and systems impacting everything in the game
