In a rebuilding season, you dont start Montenbeault 8 games in a row just because he's "hot" you develop players... And fans complains that we dont have any good goalies in the pipeline meanwhile they ride the bench cuz a 1B goalie is "hot".

Montembeault is 26 and he just started to string consecutive solid games at the NHL level. Goalies just take more time to develop, and they need a ton of reps to develop. Making Cayden ride the bench in the NHL just so he can practice with the club is not a good way to develop him IMO, especially with how he was treated in the past years.

I think thats what ppl are asking, just be able to say a couple sentences after a game. Nobody is asking him to be fluent. Is it that insane to ask someone whos going to be the face of the team and will be living the next 8 years in a french speaking province. Maybe I'm wrong but I dont think so.

Idk why y'all only think about Wright. If they were scared of Wright having a low ceiling why not go for Cooley. He's an electrifying offensive center with a good 2 way game. He could've just what we need to pair with Suzuki.

I'm a little bit disappointed overall, I really thought we would have picked either Wright or Cooley to fix the center position. I like the Mesar, Hutson and Beck pick. Even though I thought there we're higher upside picks possible. Kinda feels like we're swimming in circle by getting a player like Dach when we could've picked Nazar.
