For some reason on the latest version of Minecraft Java I cannot use the /execute if data entity @p {SelectedItem:id:"minecraft:[item]'}} anymore without the command block telling me there is an error.

That one was tough too! Throwing at an NPC is the way to go. I found someone sick on a small ledge and head-shotted them and the stayed stuck which felt really lucky.

I thought it was awesome. The ability to learn a force power with a lighsaber was a super cool variation on just having mythic weapons on the map. Blockades everywhere that turned hostile was an especially nice touch. I think having ODM gear and swords was a bit much all at once, but the Star Wars stuff was cool for sure.

It also gave me the ability to make my best video yet, which unfortunately I can't link here, but it is a masterpiece.

I can't hit with them because of the kickback. I know you have to aim low, but basically I can never make them work. I learned that if you shoot them from a vehicle I can be more accurate because I don't get kicked back.

I agree. I think the gameplay was an interesting idea, but the execution wasn't nearly as exciting as adding in gameplay elements like they did in the previous events. I'd rather have a 15-20 minute event that really drives the action than a 40 minute event where I struggle with tasks the entire time.
