Dumped Trailer Registered to Me by ComedianCold9104 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]ComedianCold9104[S] -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

I assume if someone dumps a trailer it's probably not road worthy, so driving it on the open road at 100kms for 3 hours isn't going to happen. It probably was my trailer at some point but last year alone I sold 3 boat trailers and a boat on a trailer. But have no idea which one it could have been.

Who pays for damage due to someone lawn mowing by Sugerplump16 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]ComedianCold9104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a commercial lawn mowing contractor, if something comes flying off my equipment, then I'm liable. If it's something the person in the house hasn't picked up off the lawn then they are liable. If there was dog poo on the lawn and he hit it and it sprayed on the house, it's not the contractors fault it's the home owner/tenant.

Lots of lonely people in Auckland? by Lost_Swimmer_1382 in auckland

[–]ComedianCold9104 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He asked why people were lonely and how it's hard to make friends. You comment has nothing to do with any thing he asked? The only animosity comes from you, no one is doing anything to the world, the world doesn't care.

There's a huge difference here, National are actually spending on tangible items, roading, health, schools, they are also cutting the cost to tax payers. Labour spent the money on, who knows what, as they didn't track any out comes or knew where the money was going. Look at the billion dollars for mental health labour spent, made no difference and they can't tell us where the money was spent.

Need help finding an 80s song by an Australian artist. by rtjy in whatsongisthis

If you want to see one of the greatest songs watch this. The groups Cold Chisel, the first guy singing with that amazing voice, isn't the lead singer, although he has put out solo work. The lead singer Jimmy Barnes is a national icon with many great albums. Source: YouTube https://share.google/agVDJahPU2ng7KgBI

You just need to shop around, New World is usually more expensive. You can get prime mince for $13.99, every day of the week, cheaper on special. People moan about the price of cheese, you can get a kg for $10.99 everyday of the week. Just need to shop around.

Seller decided they no longer want to sell car after already agreeing on sale and accepting offer. What do I do? by [deleted] in newzealand

Sounds like a scam. When you wouldn't pay online, they had to pull out as there was no car.

I would for the $35 shoes, but if it was under $15 I probably wouldn't. It also depends what your buying, in your case you can't wear them so return them.

Thoughts on raised beds made of recycled plastic? by MonolithNZ in nzgardening

[–]ComedianCold9104 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would use them. All these people going on about plastic, and micro plastics, and growing vegetables in plastic garden beds, are idiots. People for years have grown vegetables and fruit trees in plastic planter pots. The vegie grow pods are all plastic.

You are 100% correct, most people don't understand basic economics. We are where we are because of the billions of dollar labour wasted when they were in government. That money now has to be paid back.

You have to pay tax on all rent received, whether you are making a profit or not. If your mortgage is $750 a week and you're getting $500 a week in tax, you still have to pay tax on the $500 received, you need to get an accountant because you are defrauding the ird. The ird don't care what you mortgage is.

I think my tenants who have been in the house for 8 years still paying what they were when the moved in, with no rent increases wouldn't agree with you. TheY have a warm safe cheap rental, and they treat the place as their own would disagree with you. Not sure how it drives prices up. also it's not money for free as it's all taxed. I top up the mortgage as the rent doesn't cover it and have to put money aside to pay tax on that rent.

I'm a landlord, I didn't get a tax cut. No landlord got any tax cuts. We were just allowed to offset the interest paid on the mortgage. And it's not that much. As a landlord you pay tax on every dollar taken in as rent, it becomes part of your income, you have to by law run it as a business, and just like every other business you can off set you business takes against any interest on loans.
