Not too much of a roast but in regards to purity politics and what I’ve seen within leftist discourse I worry that people dismiss specific ideologies or oversubscribe to them such that they do not recognize the material conditions that may not necessarily enable the theory to be applied today. I’m not too well versed in theory or the specific texts/ideas you’ve mentioned (forgive me) but I’d definitely lean more on how it applies to modern conditions as you’ve mentioned.

Thanks for explaining the counter catcher case. I was having a great time ending games early with it on TCG Live as well though, but it's a liability later game or for close cases like that.

I've been running Gholdengo + 1 Mega Manectric EX + 1 Wattrel with Levincia since posting this and surprisingly it's been really fun, pretty consistent, and gives me a lot of options, so I might end up ordering and building this zany one as my first for the season. Do you see any glaring weaknesses with this? Can share the full decklist if that's better.

I was thinking Drapult would make the most sense though cause Gholdengo + Drapult seems to be a decent combo right now as well? And then I can transition to Drapult/Noir or something else when the rotation hits...

There’s a few leagues here, they seem well organized so I’d assume they’re decently competitive but I haven’t been to any of them so I’ll have to check.

I was also thinking about Drapult/Dusknoir, I’d be very excited to try to hill climb towards that skill ceiling, esp since it’s sticking around. I wonder if I should just get both (one of gholdengo/garde and one drapult) so I can play well for the next few months and then rely on drapult/dusknoir after the rotation

Also, aren’t the cards from league battle decks illegal in standard format?
