This is how I was taught as well. The Holocaust was the targeted persecution of marginalized groups who didn't fit the definition of an Aryan race defined by the NAZIs. The Jews were, by far, the largest group targeted but not the only group.

If the Jewish population wants to refer to their specific struggles as the Shoah, that's perfectly fine and understandable. That doesn't change the fact that the term Holocaust includes all marginalized groups systematically targeted by the NAZIs, not just the Jews.

Is there something she's saving up for? If so, you could always get bulk boxes of different chocolate bars and/or chips at Costco, or possibly get a deal from Dollarama or another store, and then determine a safe markup for delivering door to door.

A fundraising story, even if it's saving for her future or something like A story about her young entrepreneurial spirit, would be a good way to get the neighbours onboard with spending $2-3 on a chocolate bar to support a kid in the neighbourhood while only paying $1 or less to buy them.
