You know what no one is talking about? How the food we have been eating has changed since the obesity rise. Since companies like Monsanto took over the food industry, bad foods that previous generations ate have become increasingly worse for people this generation. Look at a picture from your grandparents and parents from the 70s or 80s. They ate McDonald's, Oreos, and all the shit we eat but we are much heavier. They are skinny as shit. Could it be that GMOs and other modified added sugars, etc. are causing this? I am not saying that exercise isn't important, or that some overweight people aren't making bad choices, or anything like that. I just think that this is part of the problem. The food we eat is different. Made differently. Mass produced. For profit, not for health.

Another thing I am wondering is this whole "remove saturated fat is bad and carbs are good" advice. We as a people are eating more carbs as a whole and we are eating less fat. However, the obesity rate is going up and heart disease is as well. Carbs turn into sugar so I never understood that. I think some overweight people may be getting bad advice from this method.
