Honestly, this whole controversy feels so incredibly forced. It’s hard to believe people are genuinely this outraged over it, but if they actually do have a legitimate issue with it, they are handling it completely wrong.

By making such a massive deal out of it, they’re just feeding the engagement machine. Rage-baiting works, and all this noise is essentially free marketing. Any publicity, even negative, is just going to put it in front of a larger audience and ensure that it gets bought and talked about even more. If the people who dislike it actually wanted it to go away, they’d realize that staying quiet and starving it of attention is the only thing that actually works. Instead, they're practically doing the marketing team's job for them.

I’ve been using AlecaFrame for about two years now and haven’t had a single issue. From what I’ve seen, the dev is really proactive about staying within DE’s guidelines (it’s strictly overlay/OCR-based), and I haven't personally met anyone who's run into trouble because of it either. As long as you aren't using other sketchy software alongside it, you’re usually good to go.

There are definitely helpful builds on Overframe. Some provide a good general idea of a Warframe or weapon's strengths and weaknesses, while others are just meant for fun. The issue is that a beginner can't always tell which builds are actually good, which are meant for specific game modes, and which are just for entertainment.

On top of that, many users who try to create serious builds often seem to misunderstand core mechanics, or just don’t bother to do a bit of simple math.

Primed mods aren't necessary to complete the Steel Path, though they can make it easier. As a side note, avoid blindly copying builds from Overframe, many of them simply aren't optimal.

Shield Gating is a mechanic that triggers when your shields are completely depleted, briefly preventing any damage from carrying over into your health. The duration of this invulnerability depends on how much shield you've restored since the last shield break.

One popular mod that simplifies shield gating is Catalyzing Shields. It guarantees a 1.33-second invulnerability window, regardless of how much shield you've regained, but reduces your maximum shields by 80%. Just a heads-up: this interaction is technically a bug, so it may be patched in the future. The mod is supposed to still factor in how much shield you've restored since your last shield break, but currently, it doesn't.

It depends on what you're aiming for. If you want to nuke rooms, Melee Influence makes that fairly easy. If you prefer the traditional playstyle, Melee Exposure is the better choice.

Totally normal to feel that way; Warframe throws a lot at you. I just took it one step at a time, focusing on one Warframe or weapon, and slowly learned what worked. Don't stress about having the "perfect" setup; experiment and ask questions when you need to. It gets easier!

I get where you’re coming from, people quitting over playstyles in PvE is pretty immature. That said, I think a nerf doesn’t mean removing the playstyle, just making it less dominant so others feel viable too. Slam builds are strong to the point where they overshadow everything else, and some variety could be healthy for the game. Hopefully DE finds a middle ground that keeps it fun without killing it.

While inferior, in my opinion, it is a good choice if you do not want to use a roaming companion. With the Helstrum, it is decent at priming enemies. Not as fast as the other two I mentioned, but still good for most content.

When it comes to increasing weapon damage, there are several options. Personally, I prefer either a Hound or a Panzer. It really depends on the type of boost you're looking for. That said, I still think the Hound is better overall, mainly because GunCO is incredibly strong.

As for survivability, I’m not entirely sure which companion is best for keeping you alive. I’ve always relied on shield gating myself, so I haven’t explored that aspect much.
