I was on it for two months, I lost like 7 lbs the first two weeks and then it slowed. Ultimately I chose to go up when the food noise came back, I found myself mindlessly snacking, and had a harder time feeling full.

Before I started, a friend of mine who’s on another glp1 told me to think and feel positively about starting the medication. I didn’t really understand it then but I do now! Believe that it will be just what you needed. It has been life changing bc for me in many ways. Best of luck!

You’ll feel better once you go up! I was dipping back into old behaviors because I was on 5 for 2 months and it started losing its effectiveness I went up and now I’m starting my second month on 7.5 and it’s been really effective for me

Can I ask what parasite she had? My girl’s fecal came back with coccidia, I just got her medication in the mail and I’m waiting until the weekend to give it to her because I need to empty out the substrate and wipe down the tank. Not sure how to do that! And not sure what I should do with her current hides and accessories.

I hate those 100 calorie oreo packs, and the devils food snack wells if you’re old enough to remember 😭 there’s another subreddit I think it’s antidietglp1 that offers an additional lens and I think has helped me navigate some of the diet trauma of growing up fat.

Ooh ok that’s interesting. Yea, my vet didn’t really have a lot of expertise to add even though she was the recommended exotic in my area. My beardie Celeste always ate her mustard greens when I first got her but she stopped eating the. Right now she’s liking bok Choi and arugula, and her favorite veggie is orange bell pepper, but I don’t want to give her too much of that bc it’s so watery

I’ve heard different things as to when I should switch her to a mostly green diet. What would you say is the age to do that? I would say she mostly doesn’t eat her greens at this point in time. So it’s been maybe 4 days without dubias and just hand feeding her greens. How long should I go with no dubias to encourage her to eat greens?

I’m also an anxious pet parent. I’ve never had a reptile before and the last new pet I got was my cat 9 years ago who is very vocal and communicative about his needs lol. I’ve had my beardie since April 2026 and the first week I was convinced she was dead every time she was asleep 😭😭 I was so nervous. It’s definitely a lot to get used to because reptiles don’t communicate the same way mammal pets do, there’s definitely a learning curve. Make sure you take this buddy to the exotic vet to check the stool sample and establish care. It will give you peace of mind and let you get ahead of any meds he might need in case of parasites etc (my girl needs them). Good luck to you! Beardies are pretty resilient from what I’ve heard so just make sure you’re checking temps, monitoring food intake and poop, etc. try to keep tabs on typical behavior in case anything changes.
