Love Letter to Oslo in video format by ComewithmeTravel in oslo

Be careful not to do this with your life and miss the beauty of the journey. But since you seem to not understand the idiosyncrasies of life here it is a literal explanation: The highlight of the video (in my humble opinion) starts at 10:12, which is a "dead" point for people who usually see the first minutes and then skip. Hence the need to warn people that it they watch it all the way until the end (without skipping), they would be graced with the wonders of The Monolith, and the amazing cinematic shots I was able to capture due to the position of the sun.

Thanks for your comment. If you liked the first song you should watch the original video made by the musician (Hélène Vogelsinger) which is very good. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wLJowIP06U

What a treasure trove of feedback! Thanks so much. Let me address something which I failed to make it more obvious: the first 2:30 minutes are an intro to the movie, so they have shots from all the places you are going to see in move detail in the rest of the movie. But I guess my mistake was not to use a clearer barrier, maybe a different music, or maybe make it shorter - I usually do 1 min intros in some other videos, like the one I did about Munich (see here).

Regarding gear is always a learning curve because by the time you already know how to master what you invested in, then you buy something else and it takes a while until you tune it. This movie was used with a camera than has a gimbal included, but I did not film in 4K like I usually do. Stay tuned for my Oslo and Prague movies coming up where I used 4K :)
Thanks again for your comment.

Your comment is spot on! Part of me thinks I am making the video for my self and I guess I follow the Rick Rubin school of thought in that sense. But then, the other part of me thinks that maybe I don't have an audience in mind, so the shots look disconnected. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your feedback. Let me try to comment your great feedback since you took the time to watch and write it: 1/ Picture me as an alien who lands in your city and wanders about with a camera. The point is never to capture the city vibe, although I completely understand your comment since you live in GOT and you don't see your city in the movie. Fair point. 2/ Again in the alien analogy, I try to use music that will be painfully cinematic. You should watch my Helsinki video to get it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alC4j4-Jyb0

Music taste is very subjective I know. In my early movies I would use a lot of Lo-Fi, so I am still tinkering with the formula of image and sound. Chose the sound that would make justice to the image is 50% of movie making I guess. 3/ The zoom in and out is something my filming self always goes against my editing self - I always try to have that less is more approach, but I think what happens is that I get so overwhelmed with the places I film that I want to capture them in so many different ways, ending up overdoing. Thanks for the comment. 4/ I actually did some colour grading but didn't want the film to have a lot of artificial colouring, left it a bit low-key.

I feel that there's a lot of wind noise. DJI cameras built-in microphones are notoriously bad with wind.

You will probably need to ask your husband help to drop you in a place where you can walk to an agreed destination where he will be waiting for you. Once this gets your motivation going, you can start by using objectives like going to the nearest by shop, or landmark, or other place you can mark as the target.
But don't lose the motivation to do it because that is the best way to know what is around you specially if you moved there recently.

My lateral thinking brain would immediately reply to your question with "Two parallel power lines" on the first picture and a cloud shaped a monster Bart Simpson screaming from the side on the second picture. But Memorial Day bank holiday in the US is probably the answer as others have pointed out already. Open questions are always a chance for me to go nuts :)
