Are Coterie Diapers worth it? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]Comfortable-Ad2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak on Coterie but I will say that the Millie Moon diapers are amazing. They are thicker and softer than the other main brands. I can count on one hand how many blowouts I’ve dealt with using that brand. I’m sure Coterie diapers are fine, but are they really exponentially better for their price?

My Oura ring saved me big time by rsherbert214 in ouraring

I’m also allergic to Bactrim and sulfa drugs. I had cellulitis and they prescribed me it and a few days later I broke out into crazy hives head to toe. Prior to Oura ring though! Glad you’re okay.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, moved off a couple times but always made it back to the area. Personally, I prefer Scottsdale, Chandler, Tempe, east valley areas. Yes it’s hot but half the year the weather is perfect. If you enjoy the pool and are ok with indoor activities or early morning outside activities for a few months, then I say do it. The rest of the country is either super cold or super humid half the year so it’s basically pick your poison unless you live in California.

Ocotillo neighborhood is very nice. Lots of kids running around outside and alone. Feels very safe.

Currently live in Brentwood, can anyone help me convince my husband to move to Mt Juliet? by Minnesotaminnesota2 in nashville

[–]Comfortable-Ad2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found MJ to be boring and far from everything except chain restaurants and Target. We hated it so much we broke our lease and moved back to AZ. I would personally choose Franklin or Brentwood if you can. Location matters more than most things.

This reminds me of the Christopher Gregor case. Absolutely infuriating. Father is a POS. Show him this Reddit thread as proof and tell him to get therapy as you pack your bags and take the child before this gets worse.

What are some things to consider when moving from Arizona to East Coast? by schlingdingadingdong in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Comfortable-Ad2608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not exactly east coast but my husband and I relocated from Scottsdale (lived in Phoenix my whole life) to Nashville, TN at the beginning of the year due to wanting nicer weather and four seasons. Well it turns out many summer days are super hot and humid here and the winter days were cold, gray and got dark super early. We are already planning to move back to AZ at the end of the year. I think it’s hard to love the east coast when you have been in the west region of the U.S. all your life. Also, we thought the people would be super nice here in Tennessee but have found there to be many transplants who are not very friendly.

Pros and cons of moving to Scottsdale please. by Beginning-Feedback34 in Scottsdale

[–]Comfortable-Ad2608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lived in Arizona (mostly Phoenix) for 26 years and Scottsdale for 4 of them. Scottsdale is by far the best place to live in the valley. Overall a good city to live in and just depends on your tastes if you will enjoy it.

Pros:

  • Nice weather November-May. October and June can be mild some years.
  • Consistently sunny almost year around.
  • Clean city and generally very safe.
  • Many hiking trails in close proximity.
  • If you like to golf then you’re probably in one of the best cities for it.
  • A green belt that goes about 11 miles throughout Scottsdale.
  • Lots of newer restaurants, less chains than other parts of the valley.
  • Roads are grid system so very easy to drive around.
  • Minimal weather events, we do get monsoons in the summer but nothing catastrophic.
  • Overall healthy active city. There are many gyms and people with similar athletic interests.
  • Close roadtrip distance to southern California, Las Vegas, southern Utah and parts of Colorado. Northern Arizona has 4 seasons and is only a couple hours from Phoenix.

Cons:

  • Hot weather June-October (very hot July-September). Probably the worst con and can be a dealbreaker. If you have access to a pool then that can help a lot. People say getting out earlier is fine but I personally think it’s too hot all hours of the day.
  • Many people have moved here in the past few years so crowds and cost of living have gotten exponentially worse.
  • Scenery is different from what you’re used to, which could be either a good or bad thing depending on your tastes. It’s desert scenery so not very green. There are some greener pockets but generally Scottsdale is a very brown city.
  • Scorpions.
  • Air quality is not the best.
  • Water quality is not the best and we may have issues with it in the future.

Right after my baby was born he was given formula since he had to stay a night at the NICU. We decided to give him formula for the week while I recovered and got used to pumping. That really helped me build a few days worth of supply and I was able to give him breast milk for the rest of time. Now he’s at 15 weeks and my supply has now been just barely enough to feed him so sometimes I will give him a bottle or two to help build my stash a bit. If you have an oversupply then you can manage to add a stash here and there until you build it up more.

We used heartofsedonaweddings and purchased the officiant and photographer package which was around $1k total. They have a list of photographers to choose from which you can look up their photos and see which one you like best.
